Sponsorship ProspectusCarbon capture and storage (CCS) is a key technology for tackling climate change by capturing, transporting and permanently geologically storing industrial carbon dioxide emissions. Australia is at the forefront of making CCS a technical and commercial reality.
National CCS Week, from 28 November to 3 December 2010, is a new Australian-based event providing a focus for CCS as an essential part of the global greenhouse gas mitigation portfolio.
The major event of National CCS Week is the 2010 National CCS Conference, to be held Sunday to Tuesday, 28 – 30 November at the Park Hyatt Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The National CCS Conference will attract high level policymakers, researchers, engineers, economists, environmental NGOs, community leaders and international investors.
The aims of the conference are to:
» facilitate knowledge sharing and networking opportunities between CCS stakeholders, including technical, economic, social and policy issues, and
» raise awareness of CCS among the community and key influencers, including the media
The conference objectives provide significant points of difference to other CCS events:
» a single, national event for the first time
» Federal and State government endorsement and involvement
» authoritative, highly credible speakers
» strong media engagement
» go beyond the technical to include public engagement
» broad involvement including NGOs, students, unions and industry including oil & gas, steel, cement and power generators
» provide an annual focus for Australian CCS projects and R&D for a national and international audience
The conference content will include:
» CCS research and technology
» economic, social and policy issues relating to CCS
» international collaboration and knowledge-sharing
» addressing barriers to global deployment of CCS
» updates on Australian and international CCS projects
» networking opportunities
The conference will consist of plenary sessions by Australian and international invited speakers (with the option of additional meetings during breaks, meals and after hours). An associated exhibition in the function area foyer will be limited to a maximum of 26 booths.

The Conference Gala Dinner is the major social event of the conference and will be held in the evening of Monday 29 November. This major sponsorship includes:
» acknowledgment by the MC of the support of the sponsor at the dinner
» an opportunity to provide a short welcome presentation at the dinner by a representative of the sponsor (up to three minutes)
» placement of sponsor colour logo and sponsor acknowledgment on commemorative menu cards
» placement of sponsor logo throughout the dinner venue
» sponsor logo placement on the visual screens during the function
» option of additional signage (provided by the sponsors and approved by the organisers) to be displayed at the function
» 4 complimentary tickets for the function with the option to purchase additional tickets and priority seating for these guests
» access to the conference dinner attendees list prior to the event
» general sponsorship inclusions as outlined on page 6

This sponsorship includes:
» sole sponsor’s naming rights and logo (one colour) placement on the satchel (in conjunction with the conference logo)
» the provision of conference satchels to all attending media for additional brand exposure
» the provision of any unused printed satchels to the sponsoring company for their own use
» general sponsorship inclusions as outlined on page 6
Conference satchel

The first event of the conference and National CCS Week, the ice breaker function will be held in the evening of Sunday 28 November at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. This sponsorship includes:
» signage incorporating the sponsor’s logo and name prominently displayed at the function
» acknowledgement within the registration brochure and the final program as function sponsor
» general sponsorship inclusions as outlined on page 6
Ice breaker sponsorship
$5,000
Networking lunches will be held in the foyer area on both days of the conference. This sponsorship includes:
» signage incorporating the sponsor’s logo and name prominently displayed in the exhibition area for the lunches
» verbal and visual acknowledgment provided in all conference sessions immediately preceding the lunchtime breaks
» the opportunity to display/distribute company material/items within the exhibition at agreed areas during the lunch times (at sponsors expense)
» the opportunity to brand stations/staff uniforms (at sponsors expense and with approval by organisers)
» general sponsorship inclusions as outlined on page 6

There are a total of four refreshment breaks that will be held in the foyer area over the period of the conference. The package is based on sponsorship of all four breaks (both days). Sponsorship of individual refreshment breaks will be considered upon application. This sponsorship item includes:
» signage incorporating the sponsor’s logo and name prominently displayed in the exhibition area for the morning and afternoon teas
» verbal and visual acknowledgment provided in all sessions immediately preceding the breaks
» the opportunity to display/distribute company material/ promotional items within the refreshment areas during the break times (at sponsors expense)
» the opportunity to brand stations/staff uniforms (at sponsors expense and with approval by organisers)
» coffee cart sponsorship may be added to this package (at sponsor’s expense)
» general sponsorship inclusions as outlined on page 6
Refreshment breaks $5,000
This sponsorship includes:
» acknowledgment of the sponsor by the chair of the session
» signage incorporating the sponsor’s logo and name displayed outside the session venue.
» the option of additional signage/product display within the session area (to be provided by the sponsor and approved by organisers).
» acknowledgment of the sponsor on the slides displayed at the beginning and end of the session.
» sponsor’s name shown against the relevant session in the registration brochure and the final conference program.
» the opportunity to have company material (provided by sponsor) on delegate seating.

General sponsorship inclusionsIn addition to the provisions listed above, each sponsor’s branding (name or logo) will be included in the following (subject to printing deadlines):
» conference registration brochure
» conference website
» final conference program
» prominent signage within the conference registration area
» final Conference Proceedings.
The conference exhibition offers an opportunity for a limited number of sponsors to have maximum exposure to conference attendees over two full days. The foyer will host up to 26 exhibition stands (Twelve 3m x 2.1m; fourteen 2.1m x 1.5m). All lunches and refreshment breaks will be held in this area, offering an excellent opportunity to interact directly with attendees.
Exhibition sponsorship includes:
» the opportunity to display/distribute company material/ promotional items via your stand (at sponsors expense)
» 1 complimentary Exhibition Staff registration
