About Natco Trust
Shri Venkaiah Choudhry Nannapaneni, the visionary Founder & Chairman of Natco
Pharma Limited, is widely credited as being the architect of innovating and providing
the oncology drugs at an affordable price to all the patients, thus saving the precious
lives of the people. He has been accredited for extending philanthropy services in the
form creating the basic amenities like water, sanitation, electricity etc. to the tribal
villages. It has been well noted that the philanthropic services have been embedded
in the Natco family’s philosophy.
Shri Nannapaneni realizes that there remains a yawning chasm, between different
strata of society, still remaining untouched, such as affordable education, health,
hygiene, sanitation, water, livelihoods, farming, social and economic well-being of the
community at large. In order to bridge this gap NATCO PHARMA LIMITED has
established NATCO TRUST in 1995.
Concept of NATCO TRUST
It is with the aim of covering this deficit, Shri Nannapaneni has established NATCO
TRUST as the corporate social responsibility arm of NATCO Pharma Ltd, and it is based
in Hyderabad. The core areas of interventions are Education, Health, Hygiene,
Sanitation, Water, Livelihoods, Farming, Institutional support and need based
community Infrastructure. It operates in the vicinity of wherever it has a business
presence and the mentor’s home district.
Corporate Approach
Natco Trust has witnessed the transition in the year 2008, as it was being spearheaded
by Ms. Swathi, the family member. Emphasis laid on the holistic development of an
individual, starting from the birth, through their journey into childhood, adolescence,
adulthood and in the latter years of their life inclusive of socio-economic, physical,
mental, ecological and spiritual wellbeing and more importantly it transcends the
barriers and caters to the holistic requirements and aspirations of the community
through their journey of life for healthy and happiness.
We at NATCO endeavour to make a positive contribution to the underprivileged by
supporting a wide range of socio-economic demand driven programs including
education, health, nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, livelihood, farming and other
community based initiatives to promote a healthy and happy living.
The program also envisages in supporting and strengthening the government schools
and anganawadi centres in terms of academics as well as the requisite infrastructure
development, providing health related infrastructure as well as medicines and
patients counsellors to the government hospitals, community healthcare services

through institutional and outreach, extending “Purified potable water of high
standards”; Individual Sanitation latrines (ISLs); catering to the needs of pregnant
and lactating mothers by supplementing their diet in terms of nutritious food
supplements and periodical medical check-ups and health education at the “Nutrition
Centres”; and “kitchen Gardens” to promote easily available, unadulterated nutritious
food and also promotion of organic farming.
Special care is also being given to “Tiny Tots” at the anganwadies. School health and
hygiene is also being given special care as is the creation of livelihoods by establishing
skill based vocational training centres.
Areas of operation
Currently Natco Trust operates in 8 districts namely, Ranga Reddy, Nalagonda,
Hyderabad, Siddipet, Guntur, Prakasam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam in the
states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and also some parts of Maharashtra and
Tamil Nadu.

EDUCATION: - Education is being one of the core areas of intervention with
multifaceted approach and believes that education not only empowers the individual
but also the family and society at large. Under education Natco trust has two layers
that is, Natco nurtured institutions and the other one is supporting and strengthening
the government schools
Natco nurtured schools: - Natco high school at Kothur, Ranga Reddy district and
Natco school of learning at Gollamudipadu village, Guntur district has been promoted
and run by Natco Trust.
NATCO HIGH SCHOOL: - Natco High School was established in the year 1995 under
the aegis of Natco Trust, to provide education to the surrounding villages and also to
the employee’s children of Natco Pharma Ltd. The journey started with 77 students,
10 class rooms and 10 staff members in 1995. Today it has 1462 students with 106
staff members and 67 class rooms…...

Affiliation to CBSE process under progress. Provided free and subsidised education to 375 studetns
In Target ball national tournament held at Jaipurm 2 students secured 5thpositon.
In National Cycle polo for under 14 , the school got 3rd place at Nagpur. Atmandal level volleyball, Khokho and Kabbadi tournaments stood 1st and 2ndplace respectively. Secured 5th place in interschool hand ball tournamentheald at Hyderabad.

NATCO SCHOOL OF LEARNING: - Natco Trust initiated Natco School of Learning
(CBSE Syllabus) at Gollamudipadu village, Ponnur Mandal of Guntur District in 2011,
with an objective of providing good education to the local communities.
The school located in a serene environment of 9 acres of land with state of art facilities,
trained teachers, XSEED – idiscovery methodology of teaching, well equipped
computer lab, library, science laboratory, art and craft, gardening, landscaping and
sports facility.
Started in 2011 with 156 studetns, 25 staff membersand with 30 classrooms in 9 acres of land. Curretnly813 students, 88 staff members and with 64classrooms
Academically the school excelled in 10th class resultsand achieved 100% results with 90% distinction
Introdution of XSEED-idiscovery methodology ofteaching and itroduction of field based agriculaturelearning as part of curriculum
Promotion of sports and state of art facility for sports.Introduction of Art and craft, music and yoga classesfor the studetns.

Education: - Support to Government schools and Anganawadis
We are committed to create enabling environment for children through education
initiatives, emphasis laid on access, equity and quality of education by extending the
need based support on appropriate infrastructure, skilled teachers, innovative
teaching methodology and curriculum, access to basic teaching learning materials for
improving the learning competence of the children, in addition to this adapted
innovative methods to make learning more interactive and participatory.
Objective: - To strengthen the government schools in terms of infrastructure, libraries,
science labs, Vidhya volunteers etc. in order to retain all the eligible school going
children in the school and impart qualitative education.
Natco Trust supports 41 government schools, out of which 11 are high schools
and 30 primary schools and 30 Anganawadis (Early Childhood Education) in 5
districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

HEALTH: -
Natco Trust is committed to enhance the healthcare and well-being of the targeted
communities. It attempts to improve the health seeking behaviour of the
communities on nutritious food, mother and child health, non-communicable
diseases, preventive mechanisms through community based healthcare services
and health education.
Community outreach healthcare services: - Natco trust initiated 2 mobile
clinics and a standalone satellite clinic.
The mobile clinics: - The physical well-being of the communities is taken care
by “Mobile Clinics” which are miniature comprehensive mobile health care units.
These healthcare units travel the length and breadth of 27 villages at Kothur,
Nandigama, Peddavura and Thirumalagiri mandals of Ranga Reddy and Nalagonda
districts of Telangana state.
The Natco Mobile Health clinics (NMHC) provided the basic outreach healthcare
services including the health education and 28713 people from 27 villages got
benefitted.
Natco Digital Primary health centre: - is a standalone satellite healthcare unit
initiated in November 2017 at Mekaguda village, that caters the basic healthcare
services to the community. It has all the basic outpatient healthcare facilities,
which caters to all the neighbourhood villages. It extended services to 20040
people in the year 2018 -19 and people from 74 surrounding villages got
benefitted. Out of 20040 patients 7029 (HTN 3728 and DM 3301) are non-
communicable diseases patients.
Veterinary healthcare services: - Natco trust extends fodder and medicines to
cater the needs of animal husbandry in and around the villages and habitations of
Nandigam and Kothur mandals of Ranga Reddy district and

Natco digital primary health centre stand alone satellite clinic started in 2017 with all basic investigtion facilities
20040 people from more than 74 neighbouring villages got benefitted. 35% of the patients are hypertension and diabetes. Health educaiton is also extended
to the NCD patients along with free investigtions

Cancer Screening: - Conducted pre cancer screening for cervical and breast in
conjunction with MNJIO&RCC hospital, Hyderabad. 474 women screened and found
no positive cases. Medication and counselling done for minor infections and personal
hygiene.
Eye screening for community and school children
468 children from 10 government school underwent eye screening and 407 elderly
people got eye screening and spectacles provided for the needy.
Blood donation camp: - 0rganized blood donation camp in conjunction with blood
bank of MNJIO&RCC hospital, Hyderabad at Natco Pharma Corporate office and 44
employees volunteered for the same.
Nutritional Centres and nutritional backyard kitchen gardens
Objective: - “Prevention of anemia and mal-nutrition in the mothers and
prevention of congenital disabilities due to mal-nutrition and thus bringing down
the IMR and MMR.”
The Nutrition Centres provide nutritional support in the form of a supplementary
food daily to the pregnant and lactating mothers and their children from needy
and poor families. The benefits envisaged are improvement of maternal health,
increased birth weight of the child and ensuring adequate breast-feeding for the
child. Periodical health check-ups and awareness on low cost nutritional food,
breast feeding, the physiology of trimesters and the importance of institutional
deliveries. Natco Trust supports 33 nutritional centres in 23 villages and 1 urban
slum with total beneficiaries of 552.

An effort was also made to provide nutritional food through promoting nutritional
backyard kitchen gardens. Natco Trust distributed different varieties of
vegetable seeds and saplings to promote non pesticide management (NPM) and
organic based backyard kitchen garden to enhance concept of healthy living
among the people.

POTABLE WATER PLANTS: - To prevent water borne diseases and to provide potable
water to the community, Natco Trust initiated establishing up of potable water plants
for the communities in 40 + villages at Nalagonda, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Guntur,
Prakasam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts and BC welfare schools. One
among them was a community purified sand water filter, thus benefitting more than
30000 populations.
The potable water to government schools and Anganwadis: -Centralized
potable water distribution to 17 Anganwadis, 13 government primary and high schools
thus benefitting 2279 children in 5 gram panchayats at Nandigama and Kothur mandal
of Ranga Reddy district of Telangana state.

LIVELIHOODS: - Natco Trust has initiated skilling centres at Hyderabad, Ranga
Reddy, Nalgonda and Guntur districts with an objective of creating value addition skills
and income generation through self and wage employment. It has a twofold approach
to promote livelihoods that is Non – farming and farming.
Community sports, rangoli competition for women and youth empowerment
Organized community/parents/youth/women self-help group members’ meetings for
awareness and participation in different activities. Conducted sports for youth and
rangoli competition for women etc.
Farming Promotion of agriculture-natural farming and non pesticide
management. 55 farmers are getting benefitted in 78 acres of
land and outnof which 8 acres are organic and 50 acres are NPM
Non- Farming promotion of basic tailoring, Basic IT, Beautician and PPTTC. Income generated to the
extent of Rs.600000/- for 80 women in 2 months by stitching the school
uniforms.
Pilot project :- Supported 69farmers to promote organiccultivation with buy back facilitiy.Cultivation extended ino 69 acres ofland
four channels vocational trainingnamely 1. Basic IT, Basic Tailoring,PPTTC and Beautician courses hasbeen imparted to the needy people.324 women got benefitted and 100+ got employed both wage and selfemployment. Placements facilitatedfor all the courses
