THE 6TH APEC EDUCATION MINISTERIAL MEETING
Preparation and dissemination of instructions on labor protection, specialized bulletins, information sheets and other information on labor protection issues
The 6TH APEC EDUCATION MINISTERIAL MEETING was held under the theme “An Inclusive and Quality Education”. Organizers and co-chairs of the meeting were Russia and Peru.
• The Ministers discussed a broad range of issues, united into three thematic groups: development of professional skills, the use of STI in education, transition from school to professional work.
• The Ministers endorsed the APEC Education strategy that was developed jointly by APEC economies with the participation of experts from leading specialized international organizations.
The APEC Education strategy was attracted in Leaders Declaration: “We encourage our economies tocollaborate on improving education in the Asia-Pacific region under the principles established in theAPEC Education Strategy. This strategy outlines a path for achieving a strong and cohesive APECeducation community characterized by inclusive and quality education that supports sustainableeconomic growth and social well-being, enhances competencies, accelerates innovation and increasesemployability.”
