Nataša Kadunc

Initiator, the founder and president of the Sport association Olimpiki – humanitarian

organization to help children in social distress. Lady with a friendly smile and a large

heart. Cleverly navigates between the abundance of labour, which is imposed by the

management of the organisation and coordination of family commitments. She lives

with her three children: 17 years old Tara Sergeja , 15 years old Matevž Filip and 13

years old Ninika, with whom life is never boring.

Mentor and supporter of Sport association Olimpiki. Kind lady, with a

broad knowledge in psychology and still more social sense is an

indispensable member of our team. With her human side and warmth

she is always looking for a way to the hearts of children and youth, who

need help.

Humanitarian organization to help children in social distress

We are a group of well-minded supporters, top athletes, professionals, sports teams,

institutions – all united to help children who live in a socially adverse conditions.

A good year of our activity and an overview of some of our most

noted main achievements of all what has been done for more

proper lives of our children:

from the end of the school year 2013/14 and school year 2014/15 we

were actively involved with the Youth home Malči Belič – the institute

that developmentally and educationally offers and provides socially

disadvantaged children and adolescents all day/year round care.

We are proud that in the short time of our activity we have made so many children enthusiastic

about sports, successfully activated them and taught them how to usefully spend their free time - in

the development of their talent! We have gained a lot of supporters, sympathizers/people, which

are united in our hearts – to help voluntary and work together!

In may 2014 the opening event of the Sport association Olimpiki was

held.

The children of the Youth home Malči Beliče, Olimpiki and the guests

were presented the well-known, successful, top slovenian athletes, were

addressed and talked about their path to success - their talente and the

importance of sport in their lives:

a basketball player Goran JAGODNIK, a skier Urška HROVAT, a football

player Ermin RAKOVIĆ, a dancer Janja PUŠELJ, a rugby player Milan

POŽAR, dancers Heliosa,itd.

Actresses Mrs. Nina IVANIČ and Mrs Dragica POTOČNJAK – an

actress, a writer and a host of the event.

Musition Jože POTREBUJEŠ-ČUKI, who entertained us.

Our biggest supporters of the association Olimpiki:

psychologist Mrs. prof. dr. Gabi Čačinovič-Vogrinčič-

Faculty of Social Sciences. She examines the problems of families, family

therapy and psychosocial support to families and

Mr. Miro CERAR- two-time olympian.

Both of them teach and lead us with their life experiences and

knowledge.

Principal of the Youth centre Malči Beličeve, Mrs. Olga Rupnik-Krže

warmly welcomed all the participants and bid Olimpiki a welcome.

The event attented dir. of the Pionirski dom Vika Potočnik, lawyer Mr.

Boštjan Penko, a former Constitutional Court judge Mr. dr. Janez

Šinkovec and others who gladly help children and us Olimpics in our

work.

Thanks to all the present, especially children of the Youth Centre Malči

Beličeve, for the warm reception among themselves, at the end of the

event gave Mrs. Nataša Kadunc.

We are aware that the acquisition of financial assets is today difficult, so

the Society strives in various ways.

In june the Dnevnik newspaper invited us to their event Dnevnik's

triathlon in Marina Portorose. We were enabled to borrow a stall to

present us to the participants of the event. Well-known athleths, a

basketball player Goran Jagodnik, football player Švicko – Mr. Alfred

Jermaniš and others helped us.

In august Mr. mayor Zoran Janković, provided us a place in the centre

of the Ljubljana city in Prešeren square The stall enabled us the director

of Ljubljana market Mr. Geza Horvat. We successfully presented our

project and collected members. We were visited by many of the well-

known athlets and other public person.

We successfully presented us also in a shopping centre City park,

Supernova and in the Ljubljana castle.

In August 2014 the Celje handball g. Tone Goršič represented the

Netherlands modern technique of handball. Netherlands Women's

handball team, led by Mr. Božidar Zorko in the desire to help our

children in social distress, bought our T-shirts Olimpiki. Handball

players wore them during the presentation of handball in the

Netherlands.

In August 2014, we Olimpiki presented ourselves to the Ombudsman

of the Republic of Slovenia mrs.Vlasta Nussdorfer, which is of course a

supported us and made a lot of useful information, as is, moreover,

itself a great humanist and a founder of the Society White Collar

(Society to help victims of crime).

We are connected with both our and foreign humanitarian

organizations through online networks, sports teams, professional

athletes, artists, journalists, public figures, clubs, societies and

institutions.

In the school year 2014/2015, we actively and regularly carried out

various activities with the kids and Youth Centre Malči Beličeve.

in winter we held skiing with our skier Urška Hrovat and her ski

school in Kranjska Gora;

gymnastic: support mr. Miro Cerar,

kickbox: Sašo Weixler;

riding lessons are attended by several children. Sports Ljubljana

has teamed us up with a riding school M: Ms Mojca Kolenc-

Ogrin;

athletics: support Britta Bilač, inclusion in Sport Society Mass;

skii jumping: support of the ski jupmper Damjan Fras,

tennis school: tennis player mrs. Tainae Agassi, dir. of Net sport;

we carried out tennis in may and june 2015 in the Youth home Malči

Beličeve.

We co-financed the children by the equipment.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES:

Mrs. Vika Potočnik connected us with mrs. Irena Rajh - House of

children and art, which, in November 2014 delighted the children with

a puppet workshop at the Youth Home Malči Beličeve. We were

making dolls and staging puppet shows.

We had two creative workshops:

BioArs d.o.o. Mrs. Melita Močnik-Okorn: we made bubble bath balls

made of essential oils, we baked a delicious, healthy biscuits from

organic ingredients: spelled flour, coconut butter and orange essential

oil. Mrs. Melita has taught children about healthy lifestyles and

nutrition.

Patrik Jagodic enthusiasted the children with his music.

All activities of the Olimpiki take place under the supervision,

and training sessions of athletes, musicians, artists and professionals.

Together with well-known Slovenian and foreign athletes, teams,

musicians, artists, members of Olimpiki, our supporters, we are

planning to carry out several major sporting, musical and cultural

charity events.

One of the first was:

ST NICHOLAS water day with Olimpki and Urska HROVAT

It took place in the shopping center BTC Ljubljana, the Atlantis

Water park, December 6th. 2014.

Program within the Water Park took place between 11. and 16:30. hour.

With Olimpiki various sports water games and animation carried out

our supporters - sports teams: football team NK Triglav-Kranj, handball

team RK Krim, the Ljubljana Silverhawks and Rok Guna - program

manager for holiday care Atlantis Water Park and Miriam Kalan - an

entertainer and swimming teacher at Atlantis Water Park.

Water Park visitors, especially children, immensely enjoyed themselves.

Also the children of the Youth Centre Malči Beličeve, with which our

society participates, enjoyed themselves with us. All the children in the

Atlantis Water Park were immeasurable delighted by St. Nicholas, who

brought them gifts. Visitors to the Atlantis Water Park were addressed

by a supporter and active member of the Sports association Olimpiki

skier Urska Hrovat, about the Society and the event talked the founder

and director of the association Olimpiki, Nataša Kadunc.

Program outside the Atlantis Water Park was held from 14. to 16. hour.

Sports Association Olimpiki has had the honor to thank to the many

supporters of the Association and presented its wide performance in

sports and cultural activities with socially disadvantaged children. We

already cooperate for a few months with the Youth home Malči

Beličeve , an institution where children have all day/year-round care.

There are sixty children living in the youth home.

We were honorably visited by the two biggest supporters of the

Association Mrs. prof. dr. Gabi Čačinovič-Vogrinčič from the Faculty of

Social Sciences and g. Miro Cerar - two-time Olympic champion.

They both adressed the visitors.

The introductory word was given by Mrs. dr. prof. Gabi Čačinovič-

Vogrinčič. With her warmth, life work and her human side is always

looking for the way to the hearts of children and adolescents, which are

in social distress. Her words touches you again and again and so Mrs.

Gabi is our greatest teacher and role model for our innovative campaign

which brings changes. She congratulated us, our ability to connect

people, which was also proved by the event, since it was a key factor of

cohesion and a source of a great project.

Mr Miro Cerar always gives us - sports association Olimpiki - beautiful

and encouraging words as he struggles for sporting rights of children,

especially children in social distress.

With their life knowledge and experience they both teach, encourage

and lead us - support sports and cultural efforts of the Sport association

Olimpiki with socially disadvantaged children.

Many thanks to Mr. Miha Rakar - director of the Atlantis Water Park,

which has proved his solidarity, kindness and remarkable sense to

children in social distress and approved us the event in the Atlantis

Water Park, thus enabled the Sports association Olimpiki - a

humanitarian organization, can truly work wholeheartedly. We were

happy for his visit and support at St. Nicholas event in Atlantis.

We were also visited and addressed by the headmistress of the Youth

Centre Malči Beličeve mrs. Oga Rupnik-Krže. She is happy that our

association cooperates so nicely cooperate with them and their

children. She said how happy the children are with Olimpiki and that

she is very supportive to Sports associtation Olimpiki.

At the end Olimpiki expressed gratitude to all the guests:

the president of the association mrs. Nataša Kadunc, skier Urška

Hrovat, swimmer Teja Kopač, rugby player Milan Požar and a football

player Dejan Gerić.

There were also: stand-by comedian, radio – host on Radio 1, mr. Denis

Dadi Daz, teachers of the Youth Home Malči Beličeve and the children,

basketball player Boris Gorenc, Lina Kolb-Seme, mrs. Mojca Kolenc-

football player Dejan Gerić, skier Urška Hrovat...

The support expressed also the town councillor of Ljubljana mrs. Simon

More and more people strive for and see the injustice of the excluded

group of children from socially disadvantaged situation wiht us. They

help us in our humanitarian action which brings changes.

In december the champions NK Domžale visited with us the children

of Youth Home Malči Beličeve. There were: the captain Nejc Skubic

and representative od Slovenia Erik Janža. They made very happy all

the children with club T-shirts, scarves and school supplies. We are

thankfull for the visit of mr. Sead Rošič too.

We were honoured to be visited by the president of the Republic of

Slovenia, Borut Pahor in the Youth Home of Malči Belič on 23rd of

December, 2014. Mister President expressed his best wishes and good

luck to children in the New Year 2015.

Olimpiki and the children from the Youth Home of Malči Belič held

the new year's party and giving presents to children together with

the singer Patrik Jagodic and the guitar player Juš Kolarič-the group

DarMar.

In festive December Olimpiki organized the following activities for

the children of the Youth Home of Malči Belič:

The visit of Father Frost in the House of Children and Art; the visit and

lunch in our beautiful Bled and the visit of the puppet show in the

Puppet Theatre.

All thaks to the mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković, who made it

possible for the association to publicly thank for the support to all who

helped in the development of the association. This happened at the end

of December on the big stage in the square Kongresni trg in the festive

Ljubljana just before the concert of the group Big Foot Mama. It was

followed by the song of the singer Patrik Jagodic Lepa mala (Beautiful

girl) dedicated to the association and the children. The band DarMar

gave to children Olimpiki a present with a dedication – A GUITAR. WE

WISHED A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015 TO EVERYONE.

Olimpiki organized A CARNIVAL, music, loudspeakers and a party

together with Miss Nika, the wife of Peter Poles.

Together with the children we visited ski jumps in PLANICA.

On 26th of February 2015 the Sports Association Olimpiki celebrated its

FIRST birthday. Olimpiki were invited by the radio 'Zeleni val' to join

them in their show 'Znan obraz ima svoj glas' (Famous face has got its

Voice) in Life cafe, in Grosuplje. All thanks for the support to the radio

team 'Zeleni val', to the director, Miss Maja Peterka and to Tone Košmrlj.

On 7th October 2015 as a part of our organization the Ljubljana

community councillor, Miss Simona Pirnat – Skeledžija together with

her colleagues city councillors organized a visit of the president of the

National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Brglez

to the Youth Home of Malči Belič:

We organized a rather big charity event – a game with

football and basketball legends with big hearts: in Hala

Tivoli, on 9th of June, 2015

ALL LEGENDS

The press conference took place a week before at the Ljubljana castle.

The participants were: the president of the Sports association Olimpiki,

Nataša Kadunc, Gabi Čačinovič-Vogrinčič PhD, Miro Cerar,Tone Fornezzi-

Tof, Tom Lajevec, Slavko Kotnik, Miha Zupan, Matjaž Smodiš and many

others.

In Slovenia there have never been so many sports legends at one

place than at the humanitarian event ALL LEGENDS. In their

wildest dreams the organizers haven't expected such a response,

everyone who was a part of the recent Slovene sports history

came. Trainer's tasks were performed by: Bojan Prašnikar, Ivo

Daneu, Branko Oblak and Memi Bečirovič.

The referee at the game was the football referee Damir Skomina.

In the team of Zlatko Zahovič there were: the boxer Dejan Zavec,

the football players: Mladen Rudonja, Mile Aćimović, Marinko

Galić, Gregor Židan and Ermin Raković, the basketball players

Dušan Hauptman, Sani Bečirovič, Slavko Kotnik, Roman Horvat,

Darko Mirt and Veljko Petranović, the volleyball player Jasmin

Čuturič and the ski-runner Rene Mlekuž.

The team of Matjaž Smodiš consisted of: the basketball players:

Rašo Nesterović, Goran Jagodnik, Ivica Jurković, Miha Zupan, Boris

Gorenc and Slavko Duščak, the football players: Sebastjan

Cimerotič, Sašo Udovič, Ermin Šiljak and Miran Pavlin, the athlete

Primož Kozmus, the ski-jumper Primož Peterka and the hockey-

player Tomaž Vnuk.

The result of the game was not important, but let us present it

anyway: the team of Zahovič was more successful in basketball

(36:31), in football there was no winner (6:6).

The game was thoughtfully connected and commented by the

experienced reporters Tomaž Lajevec and the main commentator

Andrej Stare.

During the halftime there was a short but interesting game of

basketball:

the rugby club boys Olimpija U16 and NK boys Olimpija U16

There were many others who took part in the event: Gabi Čačinovič

Vogrinčič PhD, the president of the sports association Olimpiki

Nataša Kadunc, Miro Cerar, the rap singer 6Pack Čukur,

the satirist Tone Fornezzi TOF, the dance group Frklje…

We would like to thank all who were mentioned for their active

sports participation!

The results in basketball and football games were not the most

important part of the event, the most important was the purpose

of the event:

To help the pupils of the Youth Home of Malči Belič in Ljubljana

(every pupil was present at the event and they enjoyed it very

much and met sports legends).

There weren't as many spectators as expected, still we keept our

promise:

the staff and all the children of the Youth Home of Malči Belič were

taken to an unforgettable one-day trip to Bohinj!

We would like to thank from our hearts to numerous volunteers,

who helped in organizing a very wide-response-humanitarian-

event, special thanks to Slavko Kotnik – tireless coworker in the

realization of the project ALL LEGENDS!

US! A NEW IDEA EMERGED:

OLIMPIKI FOOTBALL ACADEMY OF TRAPPING I

Our doors open in October on our sports playground in Vojkova Street

55 in Ljubljana, behind the Ministry of Defense, (by the Faculty of

Economics and High school for Construction). For all who wish

something more - to master their skills in football trapping or improve

their football knowledge with the help of trapping on the naturally

grown grass.

IT IS RUN BY THE WELL KNOWN FOOTBALL PLAYERS, EX-

REPRESENTATIVES: SEBASTJAN CIMEROTIČ, SAŠO UDOVIČ AND ALFRED

JERMANIŠ.

The public presentation and the opening was held on 9th of October

2015 for all the youth of the Higher School for Construction. Together

with the journalist Rok Plestenjak we presented an unforgettable

active hour of sport.

We have joined forces in order to dedicate the profit to humanitarian

purposes – helping children to develop their talents.

We began to execute this extensive and demanding project in May

2014.

Due to the initiation and invitation of our organization the president of the

National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Brglez PhD came for a

visit to the Youth Home of Malči Belič on 7th October 2015.

Together with children we visit different sports games and cultural

events with which we would like to help them gain more knowledge in

their fields of interest. Through these events and activities they are

acquainted and connected with sports and cultural creators, who stir up

in them a strong wish to develop active and creative life.

Dealing with sprort, artistic creativity and visiting different events

enables one to feel perfected and even in tough life challenges it is

easier to deal with all the tensions.

Those children who have been underprivileged from the start and

therefore often stigmatized and socially excluded, have problems to

find the motivation and inspiration to surpass their destines and their

dayly fight for survival with more active and creative life. We are sure

that with our unselfish help we will enable them a more quality and

richer life, at the same time they will be given the cognition that

everything is possible and that they can pave their own path according

to their wishes and interests.

The results of our short activity are visible, special thanks to many who

cooperated for their unselfish effort put into this project: joined

together for the better tomorrow of children!
