History of Moonbuggy Race

The NASA Moon buggy Program started in 1984 has been a huge hit among Colleges all around the globe with rising participation every year. It addresses the design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of a human powered vehicle inspired by the Lunar Rover, or moon buggy. Students are required to design a vehicle that solves engineering problems similar to problems faced by the original Apollo moon buggy team. 2012 edition of the event had 83 teams all around the world.What is the Great Moon Buggy race?The Challenge

Students are required to design a vehicle thataddresses a series of engineering problems thatare similar to problems faced by the original Moon buggy team.Each Moon buggy will be human powered andcarry two students, one female and one male,over a half-mile simulated lunar terrain courseincluding "craters", rocks, "lava" ridges, inclines and "lunar" soil.

Kanika Joshi(Is an Active Member of IEEE.)Fabricator : Prashant Chaudhary (Member and Fabricator of the 2011 Baja Team which won the Cost Award and Is the Convener of Efficycle 2013.)
