Sarah Smith CI 350 Dr. Blanco Digital Imaging For this assignment, I tried to focus on what would help the students make this lesson fun and personal. The classroom age I chose for my unit plan was second grade, therefore I tried to keep the assignment easy, but also engaging. First, I selected an image that would spark the student’s interest, so I chose pizza. This also goes along with the topic of pie graph… because a pizza is round and has slices like a pie graph. Next, I selected information that would go along with the pizza. I decided on favorite pizza because this could apply to many of the students. Finally, I uploaded my image of the pizza and began the editing process. My image is very simple to complete. All I did was place the name of the graph on the image. Then I included the title of the graph we were creating. Next, I labeled the three different types of pizzas we were collecting information on and I used the eraser tool to make the appropriate slice. To label the image, I used the brush tool with different colors to help make it fun and show the students you can be creative with the image. In the classroom, I would have students do this activity to help them personalize the lesson and have fun with the information being taught. It help makes a lesson that is not usually fun, very exciting and meaningful.

For this assignment, I tried to focus on what would help the students make this lesson fun and personal. The classroom age I chose for my unit plan was second grade, therefore I tried to keep the assignment easy, but also engaging.

First, I selected an image that would spark the student’s interest, so I chose pizza. This also goes along with the topic of pie graph…because a pizza is round and has slices like a pie graph.
