JUNIOR ROBOTICS NEWS

Last Friday 15 June the Junior Robotics Team travelled to Moruya High School to compete at the

Robocup challenge. We were represented in the three competition areas of Soccer, Rescue and Stage

competing against teams from Moruya and Ulladulla.

Narooma High teams consisted of the BnB bots on the stage with Lachlan Burns, Matthew Brooks and

Kye Potter. Our team completed two stage performances where their robots danced and they narrated a

story. They were runners up on the day defeated 157 to 155 points. They came away feeling they had

learnt lots, overcame lots of issues through the day and with some ideas for their next competition.

The Bakinators, represented by Harrison McKee, Jacob Bartush-Rice and Harry McLaren (Andrew Baker

absent) took on several other soccer teams. While they were disappointed with their starting game, their

improvement was amazing! They shot several goals as they progressed through the day walking away

with a credible 3rd and sense of achievement.

Our final team was The legends of Zelda, represented by Anneliese Jahn (Aiyesha Fletcher absent) who

showed undying attitude and perseverance in the Robo rescue attempting to save a person from the

chemical spill. Anneliese won the award for most persistent during the whole competition.

Well done to all our teams. They have all qualified for the next round at state level next term.
