Guest Lecture: Awareness on Job Opportunities for Instrumentation Engineers

Write up: The awareness program was organised by the department of EIE on 06-01-2018 at Shannon

Auditorium in the college premises. Program was started by 10:00 AM. Dr.R.Venkatraj, Executive Director

SEA, Pregen Group.USA was the resource person. All the students of the Final year & Pre Final year EIE,

student and faculty members attended the program and interacted with the resource person.

Dr.R.Venkatraj, started the talk with giving a brief statistics on the current employability status of

engineering students. He highlighted the growth of Instrumentation in Automation industry, which has increased

demand for Instrumentation engineers. His talk also focused on the recent industry trends in core engineering

field. He listed down more than fifteen roles/ designation currently being practiced in the core companies; their

skill set requirement, companies name, job responsibilities etc and explained the career growth ladder.

Dr.R.Venkatraj emphasized on the importance of right mix of knowledge, attitude and additional skills for a

successful career. The talk provided the students a platform for sharing their thoughts and was endowed with

proper guidance regarding all the aspects of career in Instrumentation field.

Earlier, Mr. G Usandra Babu, HOD, EIE of NECN, welcomed the resource person. A brief introduction

of the resource person was provided by HOD,EIE


Bridge Course: Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machines on 18-01-2018

The department conducted bridge course for the subject “FLUID MECHANICS & HYDRAULIC

MACHINERY” on 18-01-2018, Mr. G. Ajith Kumar, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering was deputed

for conducting the course classes.


Bridge Course :Control Systems on 19-01-2018

The department conducted bridge course for the subject “CONTROL SYSTEMS” on 19-01-2018, Mr. G. Usandra

Babu, Assistant Professor, dept of EIE was deputed for conducting the course classes.


Bridge Course :Microprocessors & Microcontrollers on 25-01-2018

The department conducted bridge course for the subject “MICRO PROCESSORS & MICRO CONTROLLERS”

for 3rd year EIE STUDENTS on 24-01-2018, Mr. J. Sunil, Associate Professor, dept of ECE was deputed for

conducting the course classes.


Bridge Course :Artificial Intelligence on 23-01-2018

The department conducted bridge course for the subject “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE” on 23-01-2018, Prof

J.V.S Raju, dept of C.S.E was deputed for conducting the course classes.


8th National Voter’s Day

Students of II and III-B.tech EIE participated in the rally from college to Kasturibha Kalakshetram on

the eve of 8th Voters day and given the voters pledge on 25-01-2018.

PVT.LTD. Bhopal was the resource person. All the students of the Final year & Pre Final year EIE, student and

faculty members attended the program and interacted with the resource person.

EIE department has obtained an MoU with SOFCON INDIA PVT. LTD.Bhopal on 27-

1-2018.


Alumni Meet-2018

Department of EIE organized a Alumni meet-2018 on 27-01-2018 in the college premises.

Alumni from 2009,2010,2011,2012,2013 batches came and interacted with the students of II,III and IV-B.Tech

EIE. Around 20 Alumni students came to the college.


Department of EIE organized a Alumni guest lecture on 24-01-2018 in the college

premises. Mr.P.Rameez khan of 2013 batch currently working as Electronics and Instrumentation Engineer in

SEAX Electronics (Marine) Dubai,UAE came and interacted with the students of II,III and IV-B.Tech EIE. He

delivered a lecture on “Job Opportunities and Career in Instrumentation”.Around 70 students participated in

the lecture.


Department of EIE organized a Alumni guest lecture on 29-01-2018 in the college

premises. Mr.S.Srinivas Babu of 2010 batch currently working as Assistant Manager in Automated Tooling

systems Pvt. Ltd. came and interacted with the students of II,III and IV-B.Tech EIE. He delivered a lecture on

“Off campus job awareness in core Industries”.Around 50 students participated in the lecture.
