in Cairo when she accompanied her husband on a campaign & became his mistress soon after

After the return from the campaign she led a colorful life as a painter, a harp player, a writer and a businesswoman - moved to Brasil to sell exotic wood to France

1837: Returned to Paris and lived in an apartment surrounded by monkeys (!)
