Summary Horses in form are very difficult to go against and that being the case the hat trick seeker (1) VASIAS is chosen ahead of then other very much in form candidate (2) DIYAMINDAR. It will be a surprise if any of the two of those do not collect. Of the others perhaps (11) SWANSIRIZED and (6) DOWNHILL ONLY can do best.

5. DORTMUND PARK - Won on debut at Le Lion-d'Angers in April and must be looked at

6. CLAIE - Off the mark last time at Vichy on ninth run so confidence should be high

7. DIVINE D'ALENE - Just the one win from ten and does looks well exposed

8. CAIEN - Hard to fancy on the evidence so far and is ruled out here

9. DOLIGLOTE VILLE - One win from four and has to enter calculations for this

Summary It is particularly easy to side with the progressive (3) DELLYSSON who has won his last two and three in all from just five runs. The Alain Couteil trained gelding looks to have bags more of improvement to come and cannot be opposed. (2) DAWN FLOWER can pick up the forecast ahead of (5) DORTMUND PARK and then (6) CLAIE.

4. FAWLEY - Decent strike rate with nine wins from forty six and is one that can pop up at any stage

5. FLAG FEN - Lightly raced with two wins from ten and has a lovely profile for an event such as this

6. DYLABAN - Triple winner from just ten runs but the handicapper is slow to relent now

7. BABEL'S BOOK - One win from eleven and perhaps a place is the best hope for this tough handicap

8. C D'ARGENT - Triple winner from twenty five and is another that the assessor may need to help

9. LIFE PRIDE - Made it win number five at Bordeaux Le Bouscat last time and is currently in flying form

10. EASTERBURG - This likeable sort has been successful six times and always to be respected

11. SAG WARUM - Is four from thirty six but it has been a while between drinks so maybe not today

12. GOOD DEAL - Six wins from thirty nine and has solid each way claims of constant mark allotted

13. ROCHENKA - She is a dual winner but her latest two offerings set the alarm bells ringing

14. WALLIS - She is three from thirteen and was on a hat trick until blowing out last time

15. CALAF - This gelding has won four times previously and can be considered off this sort of mark

16. VADANOR - Eight time winner from seventy and is off a workable mark one suspects

Summary

The big betting Quinte race of the day but one horse stands out against some opponents that seems either out of form or are in the vice like grip of the handicapper and that is (5) FLAG FEN. He looks progressive and unexposed with a lovely profile so what more is to like ? (7) BABEL'S BOOK merits respect as does (12) GOOD DEAL. (3) ETERNAL ARMY and (6) DYLABAN will garner plenty of support.

5. DON LIZ BARELIERE - Must improve on both showings to date to figure here today

6. SHOW THE WAY - Fair debut but did not build on it last time and is therefore best watched

7. BEEP BOP PELEM - Improved a bit for debut when third at Saint-Malo last time but still more to be done

8. LOVELY SPIRIT - Just the two average outings at Deauville to date and that will not suffice

Summary Rajsaman has made the most wonderful flying start to his stud career and another one of his winning sons goes to post here with a first rate chance in the shape of (4) ACEMANAN. He won on debut and has performed creditably since and this looks a perfect opportunity to register another success. (2) HEXIS looks second best with (3) SUPERHERO and (1) TRES BELAFFAIR for place money.

7. MOCKLERSHILL - Dual winner from thirty eight and is another that needs respite from the assessor

8. AFSANE - One win from fifteen but more like it last time at Amiens last time when runner up

9. CHIEF HAWKEYE - Made it win number eight two goes back but poor follow up attempt

10. CAUFIELD - This six time winner bounced back to form when runner up at Lyon-Parilly last time

11. AVOCAT - Triple scorer from thirty four and may have an each way shot

12. CONVICTED - Made it win number four at Bordeaux Le Bouscat last time out and is a big fancy

13. PINOT GRIGIO - Two wins from twenty five but looks one of the longshots here

Summary Many of these appear to be in the grip of the handicapper or are out of form in one way or another so perhaps a small sum on the last time time out winner at Bordeaux Le Bousat (12) CONVICTED might yield a profit. He can see off (5) SHIP ROCK and (14) MARIUS QUERCUS while (11) AVOCAT and (10)

CAUFIELD have strong each way claims.

2. IRISH STORM - Hard to be too hopeful on the basis of what has gone before in three runs

4. PENSHURST - Nice debut when runner up at Bordeaix Le Bouscat last month and is a big player

5. GREAT TONIO - Just the three fair efforts to date and needs to eek out more

6. NORILSK - Placed in three of his nine runs and has a chunky enough rating

7. METHODIC - Well beaten on debut at Chantilly and simply must do better

8. DOVIGIRL - Runner up in the middle of her three outings so has work to do now

9. CATCH THE WIND - Difficult to build a case for after her initial showings to be fair

Summary This looks to be between (4) PENSHURST and (1) RAQEEQ with marginal preference for the former based on what looks a very encouraging debut at Bordeaux Le Bouscat and the fact that he may have scope for more improvement than his chief market and form rival. Third place can be fought out over by (7) METHODIC and (6) NORILSK.

Summary There was abundant promise shown last season by (2) DADDY BANBOU who won his first two starts on the racetrack and he posted another fine effort on first chase run last time out at Le Lion d'Angers May and can go one better now back over the smaller obstacles. (4) KIMO ROYAL and the hat trick seeker (1) PARK SQUARE should be feared whilst debut scorer (8) LULUDOR should improve.

5. VLADIMIR - Very decent five time winner from thirteen and sets the standard after last time and overall

6. BALNILLA - Dual winner from twelve and while she is nice must do even better here

7. FAUBURG ROSETGRI - Is two from fifteen but cannot be fancied on recent evidence

Summary The one to be on here in the last is surely (5) VLADIMIR who has come back in fine fettle following an absence of nineteen months and showed his wellbeing last time at Durtal with a good success and the bounce theory should not be a factor hopefully today. (6) BALNILLA and (4) UN ROC DU GRANDVAL appear to be the best alternatives. (1) BALTIKO PRINCE has place claims too.

7. KEEF D'OUILLY - Extra distance could suit and could pop up in the minor places

8. MICOLYS - Returns from a break. Fair form shown but goes a lot further this time

Summary (1) TAIGA STORM has only shown fair form to date but dropped to a claimer should bring about a big run from him and he should prove hard hard to oppose over a course and distance that will suit. 9. MISS MILLINER - A Helmet filly out of Elegant Pursuit who could earn a cheque on her debut

10. RICH GIRL - Well beaten in both starts and is unlikely to win this race either

11. BECQUAPEARL - Fair first three runs. Not likely to win but could earn a stake cheque

Summary (3) JURISPRUDANCE has held her form very well in this division and is likely to run another big race and looks the one to beat. (1) ATTILIA has good form in Italy and it is a bit surprising to see her in a claiming race. She deserves the utmost respect. (8) ROCKY VICTORY has been supplemented for this race and is another in with a winning chance.

6. GREEN MITAS - Poor last run over similar. May be better on the PSF and others are preferred

7. PEDREGALEJO - Modest recent form but is likely to do better this distance. Can place

8. LA JIHESKA - Poor recent form since returning from a lengthy break. Supplemented

9. CALCITE - Produced an improved run when returning to the flat in March. Could place

10. GARINSHA - Has been struggling all year and is very unlikely to win this race

11. VOLPE FIONA - Has tended to be unreliable but is capable of popping up in the places once again

Summary (1) SEISMOS has traveled the globe and it would be fitting if he could squeeze out another win. If anywhere near his best he would win this easily but alas he has not been for sometime now. (3) BOOK OF DAYS did not run well in a big handicap last time out but is much better in this division and should fight out the finish. (5) SUNDAY ROYAL and (11) VOLPE FIONA could earn some money.

Summary (1) AL MURQAB won a nice race recently and has a big chance of following up that win by carrying a penalty to victory. (11) LADY PRETORIA looks the biggest threat as she does well in races of a similar nature. Another runner that must be considered is (9) STEEL BLADE and this gelding did run a better race last time out and could be ready for this.

Summary There are a couple in this race that could be getting out the maiden ranks in the near future and (7) SHEMDA could be the best of them. This filly should improve on her first two runs. (1) SAINT FERDINAND is better than his last run would suggest and has a chance. (11) FOULOGNES has fair form and is not out of it. (13) MEXICAN HAT can finish in the money.
