    BACKGROUND

    Nanotechnology promises an unprecedented era of innovation across multiple

    disciplines and diverse applications. Its pursuits and activities are proliferating

    with different approaches, from top-down to bottom up to converging techniquesand with varying degree of maturity from concept to commercialization. The key

    to realize nanotechnologys potential is still the ability to assemble and

    manufacture nano-scale devises, structures with dimensions smaller than 100 nm.

    This seminar will focus on all application of nano materials that will accelerate

    application of nanotechnology and harness its potential for the innovative

    research and development of cost- effective products. It would help in developing

    technologies for current novel devices and applications, including enabling and

    differentiating aspects of materials, metrology, characterization and reliability.

    SCOPE

    This all India will provide a forum for mechanical engineers, industry

    professionals, academicians, developers, research scientists and engineers from

    related disciplines to meet together and exchange views on the latest

    developments in this important field and suggest guidelines for R&D, skill

    development, man power training and innovation in decision

    making in the country.
