PREFACE

Welcome to NAMIGlendale’s 2018 Family and Consumer Community Services Guide.

Our goal in preparing this directory is to assist mental health consumers, their loved ones, their families, and caregivers in locating various resources and support throughout the NAMIGlendale service area (see cover map). It is our hope that this directory empowers them with useful and helpful information that helps to enrich lives.

The scope of services in this directory emphasizes local support and assistance for individuals and families learning to tame and manage mental health disabilities. Within this resource directory, you will find mental health services as well as health care, support groups, legal advocacy, consumer empowerment services information and much more. Our emphasis, where feasible, has been on free, low cost, MediCal covered, or sliding scale services.

We extend our appreciation to the agencies, organizations and individuals who contributed by providing, sharing, and updating the information necessary to produce NAMIGlendale’s 2018 Family and Consumer Community Services Guide. Special thanks to NAMI California whose financial support through its Advocacy Mini-Grant Program jumped started and supported this effort.

We need your feedback. Please email your constructive comments and suggestions, subject line “Service Guide,” to [email protected].
