Things that are important to me:
What do you want people to know about you?
Think of three things you most want people to know about you:
1.
2.
3.
Now think of some questions you could ask your new classmates about themselves:
1.
2.
3.
Who we are!The exercises you have done so far focus on who you are now. The next section will focus on who you would like to be.
Your next challenge along your journey is to write a letter to your future self. You should be writing to yourself in a few years’ time when you have left secondary school or when you are all grown up.
Tips!
Think about what is important to you, how you want to feel about yourself and how you
want others to feel about you.
What you’re looking forward to?
What might you be proud of?
What advice might you give yourself?
What goals do you hope you have achieved?
The next steps in our journey
We know you are bound to be feeling lots of different things about starting at secondary school.
Our school motto is ‘Belong, Believe Achieve’. Use the boxes below to tell us how you might be able to ‘Belong, Believe and Achieve’ at BBA, for example joining the football team would allow you to belongand achieve. What other ways can you think of?

Answer? How do I find out the
answer?
Who is the principal?
What time does school
start?
What time does school
finish?
What time is lunch time?
What is the name of my
tutor?
Who is my head of year?
How will I get to school?
How long will it take to get
to school?
What time will I have to
get up to get to school on
time?
Give an example of
something that you are
not allowed to wear.
What happens at BBA?
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
Oh! The places you’ll go!
You’ll be on your way up!
You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.
You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact
And remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will indeed!
(98 and ¼ percent guaranteed.)
Kid you’ll move mountains!
So…
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting
So…..get on you way!
Dr Seuss
‘Oh, the places you’ll go’
We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
