HARYANA
The small yet enchanting state of Haryana is set in the foothills of Aravalli. It is home to rugged hills, soul stirring temples, chill tanks and centuries- old monuments. Several decisive battles were fought in the area, many of which shaped the history of India, including the epic battles of Mahabharta and Kurukshetra.
PUNJABThe word Punjab is a combination of Persian words
panj(five) and aab(water) and thus the land of five rivers. This land of great Gurus not only boasts of ancient historical
monuments but pulsates with religious fervour. The world’s largest gurudwara, the Golden Temple, attracts
millions of devotees from across the world to marvel at its inimitable architecture and soak in the tranquility it exudes. Since this state borders Pakistan, from the posts at Wagah border you can peep into the land that was once an integral
part of Punjab and experience the feelings of the people separated by a political line dividing the land.
RAJASTHANThis is the Indian state that depicts the
artistic side of the country and reflects rich folk culture. Its known for its traditional music and dance, sandy dunes, historical
monuments, mighty forts, and vibrant handicrafts.
Rajasthan is often called a shopper's paradise. It is famous for textiles, semi-
precious stones and handicrafts. The attractive designs of jewellery and clothes
are eye-catching and invite shoppers. Rajasthani furniture has intricate carvings and bright colours. Above all, Rajasthan's
shopping appeals to both tourists and people from other parts of India due to its
cheap prices for quality goods.
