Step by step ALE Setup This is a step by step guide to setup ALE used to send and receive IDoc between SAP R/3 system and Nakisa java application. 1. Create a TCP/IP destination T-code: SM59 In the “Configuration of RFC Connections” screen, select “TCP/IP connections” from the RFC Connections list and click the “create” icon. Provide the following information and save: a. RFC Destination name: NAK_RFC_DEST. b. Connection Type: T c. Description: Nakisa RFC destination d. Activation Type: chose “Registered Server Program” e. Program ID: NAKIDOC f. Communication Type with Target System: chose “Unicode” Now your screen should look as follow:

Step by step ALE Setup

This is a step by step guide to setup ALE used to send and receive IDoc between SAP R/3 system and Nakisa java application.

1. Create a TCP/IP destinationT-code: SM59

In the “Configuration of RFC Connections” screen, select “TCP/IP connections” from the RFC Connections list and click the “create” icon.

Provide the following information and save:a. RFC Destination name: NAK_RFC_DEST.b. Connection Type: Tc. Description: Nakisa RFC destinationd. Activation Type: chose “Registered Server Program”e. Program ID: NAKIDOCf. Communication Type with Target System: chose “Unicode”

2. Create portT-code: WE21

In the “Ports in IDoc processing” screen, select “Transactional RFC” from the ports list and click the “create” icon.

Provide the following information and save:a. Port: NAKPORTb. Description: Port used to transfer IDOCc. RFC destination: NAK_RFC_DEST

Now your screen looks as follow:

3. Create logical systemT-code: BD54

In the “Change View Logical Systems” screen, click the “New Entries” icon.

Provide the following information and save:a. Log.System: NAKJAVASYSb. Name: Nakisa Java System

4. Create partner profilesT-code: we20

In the “Partner profiles” screen, select “Partner Type LS” from the Partners list then click the “New Entries” icon.

Provide the following information and save:a. Partner No.: NAKJAVASYSb. Partn.Type: LS

Add inbound and outbound parameters for message type HRMD_A.Now your screen looks as follow:

5. Create Model view & setup filterT-code: SALE

Expand “IDoc Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE)” “Modelling and Implementing Business Processes” and click the execute icon for “Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views”.

In the “Display Distributing Model” screen, switch to edit mode by clicking the edit icon (F9).

In editing mode, click “Create model view” button.

Enter the following information and save:a. Short text: Nakisa HR model viewb. Technical name: NAK_HR_MDV.

In editing mode, click “Add message type” button.

Enter the following information and save:a. Model view: NAK_HR_MDVb. Sender: the sender system. Here our R/3 system is LS800.c. Receiver: NAKJAVASYSd. Message Type: HRMD_A

Now in the model view list you should be able to see the NAK_HR_MDV just created.

Expand the model until Data filter, double click on the filter as show in orange in the previous image to open the change filter window.

Add filter as needed. For the new orgmodeler, we need to set up the following 4 filter groups:

6. Active change pointersT-code: SALE

Expand “IDoc Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE)” “Modelling and Implementing Business Processes” “Master Data Distribution” ”Replication of Modified Data” and click the execute icon for “Active Change Pointers - Generally”. Check the checkbox to enable change pointers generally.

Expand “IDoc Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE)” “Modelling and Implementing Business Processes” “Master Data Distribution” ”Replication of Modified Data” and click the execute icon for “Active Change Pointers for Message Types”. In the opened screen, search for Message type HRMD_A and check the check box to active change pointer.
