*The capital city of Iran is Tehran. The major language is Persian or Farsi. Iran is in Asia and in the north there is the Caspian Sea and in the south there is the Persian Gulf. The population of Iran is more than 68 million people

*North along the Caspian Sea you can find moist green lowland with Iran’s richest soils.

*In Iran the total area 636,372 (square miles), or 1,648,195 (square Kilometers) and the land area is 591,352 (square miles), or and 1,531,1595 (square kilometers). The water area is 45,020 (square miles), or 116,600(square kilometers).

*Geography

*Iran. Boarders the Gulf of Oman in the south and in the southwest you can find the Persian Gulf and to the North you will find the Caspian Sea. To the Northwest you will find Afghanistan and Azerbaijan, Armenia and Azur and to the west Iraq and Turkey and to the east Afghanistan and Pakistan. To the northeast you will find Turkmenistan .Iran’s highest point is Kuh-e Damavand and the lowest point in Iran is the Caspian Sea

*In Iran it is against the religion to drink wine or any alcoholic drinks or eat pork.

*The most popular sport is soccer. Many Iranians are related to people from Turkey. In Iran they eat rice, chicken, fish, beef, carrots, lentils, and beans. For breakfast they eat bread with cheese, honey, and halvah – that is a sweet paste that Iranians like. They eat yoghurt with soup, barley, and onions. They also eat lamb kebab with rice.
