The Ida and Pingala naadis originate in the mooladhara chakra and then cross each other at various locations. Every node of their intersection marks a “chakra”.

Sushumna Naadi – Central
Sushumna is the central channel and is associated with the river Saraswati. Running up the body from just below mooladhara chakra to Sahasrara chakra at the crown of the head.
