    1.STATE LEGISLATIVE FORUM & RECEPTION. The Alabama State Black Chamber of Commerce in

    conjunction with the NAAACC, the Greater Birmingham Black Chamber, and the Blackbelt Region

    Minority Chamber will host a State Legislative Forum/Reception in Montgomery AL on March 30. The cost

    of the trip is $50 per person. Confirmed participants include the Senate Chair for Job Creation/Economic

    Development and for Small Business.

    2. MEMBER Events/News:

    NAAACC has partnered with Birmingham-based financial group facilitate loan opportunities($25,000 to $250,000) for members and businesses in the area. The Firm will visit Huntsville onceper month. Please call the office to make an appointment for APRIL 6.

    Valley Conservatory invites you to a Chamber Music Concert on March 27 at 4pm in CovenantPresbyterian Church, 301 Drake Avenue, Huntsville. The concert is FREE.

    3. DID YOU KNOW?

    The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Jobs Act Tour is coming to Huntsville, AL on April15. This is an opportunity to meet with leaders from SBA, give input on new regulations, and learn

    how you can take advantage of new tools coming out of the Small Business Jobs Act. The Huntsville

    meeting will take place at UA Huntsvilles Chan Auditorium, 301 Sparkman Drive. Register each

    attendee for your business at [email protected]. Include name, business, email address, mailing

    address, and breakout session interests (for a list of the sessions go to www.sba.gov/jobsacttour).

    4. OPPORTUNITIES:

    The NAAACC Conference & Expo will be held on May 5 & 6. This year the Alabama CooperativeExtension Services is joining us to host the event. Our awards dinner/reception will be held at the

    AAMU Earnest Knight Center beginning at 6:30p. The Conference and Expo will begin at 8:30a in

    Von Braun Center South Hall 2.

    Madison County is implementing a new bidder registration system. The system will go live APRIL 1,so businesses and organizations interested in contract opportunities should register as soon as

    possible. To register go to www.ebidexchange.com/madisonco. Click on the register tab and insert

    your company information, then click next until the process is complete. If you have questions call
