DATE OF DESCRIPTION 2003 DESCRIPTION Proceed 4.2 mi north along the south entrance highway form the south entrance gate of Yellowstone National Park. Bench mark is on the top of a small highway cut, 46.0 m (150.9 ft) northwest of the southwest end of a pipe culvert, 12.5 m (41.0 ft) southwest of the centerline of the highway, about 2 m above the highway, and about 100 m north of the pullout with guardrail for “Lewis River Canyon” overlook. Access to datum point is had through a 5-inch logo cap.
