It seems that even though the summer is here and the Snowbirds are gone, the Club is still very much alive! What with meetings, Birthday Celebrations, Father’s Day, well attended Friday Nite Dinners, Bocce, Card games, the new Monday morning gathering & the upcoming Lobster Fest, the membership is enjoying the activities. It is nice to see the enthusiasm & new ideas being brought forth. Father’s day breakfast was a real treat so thanks to the ladies for their talents! We all appreciated their hard work. The July General Membership meeting falls on July the Fourth and the Board decided to convene the meeting on that day. There won’t be any fireworks at the meeting but it

will be adjourned in plenty of time to attend the display in Venice. Hope to see you there. Ciao, Bruce

A Classy Celebration in honor of all the Dad’s was held on Sunday, June 16th at the Italian Club! A scrumptious break-fast was served by a capable team of Club member ladies garbed in black & white & topped off with “bowties” !

In attendance were 99 members & guests who enjoyed a delicious array of breakfast delights, including: fresh fruit bowl,

custom made omelets, biscuits & sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash brown casserole, spinach & zucchini quiche & La Tavola Di Dolci that was filled with homemade treats! Made with love by these ladies, were several (at least 14 varieties) desserts to please the sweet lovers!

The most frequent comment as the diners left was “It was so good & I ate so much!” Many thanks to Betty Lou Cattelona & Dee Martorana for chairing this event & assembling a great group of helpers (names above photo). Thanks as well to Justin for help with food ordering, to Linda B for decorations & seating, to Dick C &

Karl B for manning the bar & to Barbara T for ticket sales & welcoming the people at the door. All in all it was

Un Buona “Festa del Papa”! Same time next year? Hope so!

June Birthday Celebration 6/9/13 was enjoyed by 75

members who were treated to a pasta/tomato dish “like Mamma used to make”! It was delicious & accompanied by sausage & salad & of course Marino’s great cake to round out the meal. Thank you to our hosts Barbara Moccia & Justin Terzi. Helpers included Mary Indovino, Shirley Opipari, Sandy Vecchione, Joe Carbone, Ben Petrone, Marino Roncari, Dick Cattelona announcing, Linda Bastian at door & Karl Bicknese at the Bar. The birthday celebrants were Tom Accardi, Ralph Maccarone & Anthony Cavaluzzi. Anniversaries were celebrated by the Cattelona’s 55, the Romano’s 55, the Collins 48, & the Orientale’s 57! Congratulations to all. New members Kevin & Helen Collins & Anthony Cavaluzzi had an opportunity to meet a lot of the members. Food, fun & friendship is what it’s all about!

All members are invited to come to the next one on Sunday, July 28th 4 pm, hosted by the Martorana’s. You know Dee can cook!

Monday Morning Breakfast Club Since Lou Sclafani proposed this idea at the June meeting, 2 Mondays have brought 14

members out the first time & 30 the second! Coffee, treats & conversation will help to promote camaraderie among the members. Come on down! Benvenuti a tutti!
