Each 4-H member is required to exhibit at least one projectin order to complete the 4-H year.
2020 Dickey County Achievement Days
CLOVERBUDSThere will not be in person judging for cloverbuds this year. Instead thecloverbuds will be asked to create a simple video. In this video they will beasked to state their name, club, age and project(s). This video can be sent toShirlene or Danielle.
Alternative to IN PERSON judging Absentee form should be completed for any member that is not attendingstatic judging on July 10th at the fairgrounds. This option is available foranyone who does not feel comfortable attending the static judging. For thosewho are completing the absentee form, you will also need to complete a shortvideo. The video needs to be 1-3 minutes long answering the followingquestions:
What steps did you take in order to make this exhibit? What skills did you learn while creating this exhibit? What challenges did you face or what could you have done differently?
This video needs to be submitted July 9th to the Dickey County ExtensionOffice.
2020 North Dakota State Fair Exhibit Book4-H Fair Entry online registration program matches the project areas includingdivision, class numbers, and descriptions of projects that you will be enter infor the county fair. All exhibits need to be entered in 4-H online by June 15th.

STATIC JUDGING Friday, July 10th starting at 1:30 PM After the registration deadline on June 15th, we will create a schedule for clubsto come and get their exhibits judged. Each exhibitor will be the ONLY one handling their exhibit. The exhibits will go home the same day they are judged.Exhibitors will know what place they received upon leaving the table with thejudge Purple ribbons will still be awarded and will be announced through email andon the Facebook page after static judging is completed that Friday. Awards will be given out through mail or through pickup at the office.
2020 Clothing Revue and Fiber Arts is cancelled for this year'sDickey County Achievement Days
Exhibitors are required to wear a shirt with the 4-H emblem. Ifyou need a shirt, the office has them available for purchase.
YQCA is not required for the 2020 Dickey County AchievementDays.
RABBIT AND POULTRY JUDGING
Friday, July 10th after Static Judging All rabbits exhibits will follow the Trunk-to-Show guidelines. Each family will share a table for their rabbits, when showingAnimals will not be housed in the Bunny Barn this year.
There will be NO poultry exhibits because of a shortage of theantigen for the 2020 Dickey County Achievement Days.

LIVESTOCK SHOW YQCA will not be required for the 2020 Dickey County Achievement Days.It will not be required for the county because the state fair has beencancelled. When entering livestock exhibits on FairEntry, you should not have toentry a YQCA, like in previous years. Sunday, July 12th starting at 1 PM All LIVESTOCK will follow the Trailer-to-Show guidelines.
Families will be encouraged to stay by their trailer with animal(s) untilcalled to the show area The livestock show will not be open to the public for the safety of theexhibitors, families and the volunteers.
There will be no animals housed in the barn. It is preferred that you weigh your market animals prior to arrival themorning of July 12th ( Show Day)
NDSU Extension will have plans in place to ensure your safety, 4-H takes thehealth and safety of our community very seriously.In doing our part to be responsible, we have developed guidance related toplanning and implementing a 4-H show. We are asking that only one parent isto attend with each 4-H member for static judging. There will be a scheduled time for your arrival, hand sanitizer will be availableat all times, the bathrooms will be cleaned hourly. We ask that every judge, helper, participant and family members to maintainthe 6 ft social distancing. Your participation is voluntary- please do not feel pressured to do anythingthat you are not comfortable with. Call the Extension office at 701-349-3249 if you have any questions.
