Step 2a: Employee proceeds to self-evaluate. Typically, this would occur after April 1st. *Please do not edit/add Work Objectives or Learning Goals in this step; if changes are required they should be made in Step 1 – Establishing Evaluation Criteria. Employee opens their Performance Document to complete self-evaluation by selecting: Self- Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents > Start (Complete Self Evaluation row) Employee reviews Work Objectives (section 1) and provides ratings and can comment on each. Employee reviews Competencies (section 2) and provides ratings and can comment on each. o For 15/16, the ratings for competencies are aligned to the Behaviour Scale Levels (1-6) Employees = Levels 1-2 hi-med-low Supervisors & Managers = Levels 2-3 hi-med-low Directors / Superintendents Levels = 3-4 hi-med-low ADM Levels = 5-6 hi-med-low DM / CEO Levels = 6 hi-med-low o Once employee has finalized self-evaluating the sections, click Complete. To ensure you don’t lose your work, sign-out of PeopleSoft instead of closing screen (red X) so you will be notified of any un-saved work. If a third party was nominated and they haven’t answered by the time the Manager Evaluation is complete, the third party nomination will auto-cancel. Supervisors can review their employee’s self-evaluation by following this path: Manager Self-Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents> View (in the Review Self Evaluation row). Note, Supervisors are unable to input comments on the employee’s Self-Evaluation, only in the Manager Evaluation section.

Supervisors can start Manager Evaluation by following this path: Manager Self-Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents> Start (in the Complete Manager Evaluation row)
