Core Competencies are mandatory and are front loaded into your performance document. Employee starts the process by opening their Performance Document in PeopleSoft by selecting: Self-Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents Click Start in the Establish Evaluation Criteria row Employee inputs information into: o Section 1 Work Objectives -click the + icon to add each Work Objective separately. o Section 2 Core Competencies – competencies are front loaded for your convenience. o Section 3 General Competencies – Optional- to be determined by Supervisor for position success. Employee can add once directed by Supervisor. Click the + icon and then click search (leave fields blank) and select from library of competencies. o Section 4 Learning Goals (optional) -click the + icon to add each goal separately. o Save. To ensure you don’t lose your work, sign-out of PeopleSoft instead of closing screen (red X) so you will be notified of any un-saved work. Supervisor is notified via auto- email (if employee edits information at any point and saves, another email to supervisor is generated, this occurs each time) Once Supervisor receives an email notification, they need to review the Performance Document by following this path: Manager Self-Service > Performance Management > Performance Documents > Current Documents Supervisor reviews employee’s input and has the option to add information, edit, or leave as is.
