MyCycle-KentCanterbury’s Pedalling Hub
A software integration project
connecting communities & facilitating cycling for everyone
MyCycle-Kent will connect the timid cyclist with an experienced pedaler in their community, and pair
up starter-cyclists looking to set out on bike rides around Canterbury and Kent with similarly intrepid
locals.
The aim is to overcome any inhibitions some might feel when contemplating cycling more regularly
into town or around the county.
Be if for fun or as a means to speed up commuting & running errands in town, everyone can use
MyCycle-Kent to build up their expertise and confidence with the help of a more proficient rider,
enjoying a safer and more relaxing time.
Users will discover their local cycling buddies, find the safest routes to their destination and track
progress over time in comparison with other newbie cyclists.
In a subsequent phase, MyCycle-Kent will have a School-Cycle section to organise cycling to school
groups, safety checked and responsibly coordinated.
