My Trip to

Retailia

The photo album ofZombie Kitty Kawaii

EMANATIONS

I was very jet lagged

from my flight so I

went to bed as soon as

I arrived. Thoughtfully

somebody had put

a cuddly mouse

there for comfort.

I am a mail art project by Louise Kiner, a Canadian

artist, who sent me on a trip round the world .

My first port of call was the United Queendom where I

was the guest of Her Majesty Queen Martha the First.

These are the highlights of my trip. The photos

were taken by either MailArtMartha or her lovely

assistant, John, but the captions are in all in my own

words. Really. The rumours that MailArtMartha wrote

them are a complete fabrication.

Zombie Kitty Kawaii M2

Retailia, July 2012

We went out for

the day. Summer

here is very cold.

Brrrrr!

Somebody made ascarecrow lookinglike the Queen .The cheek!

We visited a country

park. The weather

improved and I could

play in the sun.

It was easy toget up here butlooking down itwas SCARY!

I think I deserved

this treat after all

the exercise

I did.

Cuddling in front of theradiator, Julian shareda catmint-filled bananawith the monkey and me.

WOW! I had neverdone drugs before!

At last able to do

what cats like best;

sleep in the sun!

From left to right the

Prince Consort, the

Queen, myself and Dean

Marks, le Marquis de

Bananas, who is trying

to eat me.

Not very politethese Retailianbirds; they didn’tstop to say

Oh! What fright!

I used to ride on the Shopping

Trolley Gallery when it wasn’t

raining or windy, which was

not very often.

Well, I did, until disaster

struck.

It was interest

ing to see how

the artwork was

mounted on the

STG. So many fan

tastic art

pieces. When I g

et back home I will

take up

Mail Art, it is very re

warding and I

of course

I will be great

at it.

I was very sad and the next day I laida flower on the site of the tragedy.Don’t you think that black suitsme?

One day the Gallerycaught fire!I risked one of myundeaths and managedto save all the art, though.

This was the article that appeared in the national press,A week later and not enough about ME!

Last Friday the Shopping Trolley Gallerywent up in flames to the shock of its ownerMailArtMartha and all her friends, who sentmessages of sympathy as soon as they heardthe news. Fortunately a courageous bystand-er, Zombie Kitty Kawaii, salvaged the inval-uable artwork. The STG was not so lucky asit burnt to cinders. The police said that theattack is similar to another committed a fewmonths ago in Paris, France, by le Marquisde Bananas, when a zombie was burnt un-dead. Retailians are advised to lock up theirzombies as the perpetrator is still at large.

The rescuer

The prime suspect

Licking...

And sticking.

That did not stopthe production ofMail Art. I did myfair bit of work.

They surely like

zombies here. They

even have a statue

of a human one by

some local artist.

One day we visitedLondon, Retailia, notto be confused withany other London. Itravelled in the BagGallery, very cosy.

By the end of my

stay the Retailian

Olympic games were

about to start and I

got to carry the

torch. Everybody

was looking at me!

I won the Olympic gold

medal in the Cute Zombie

Cat Egory. Here I am on

the podium with Felix, who

got silver and Puss in

Boots, who got the bronze.

I didn’t know those two

had also turned into

zombies.

Everybody had great fun during my stay in Retailia, they are going to miss me badly. Well, it can’t behelped. Lots more of my fans are waiting eagerly for me.
