Through due diligence and attention to detail during reviews of payments, oversaw the recovery of $437,086 that was owed the Region because of missed or incorrect RDC calculations from 2000-13. Identified ‘big picture’ process improvements, made recommendations, and implemented solutions. Co-leader for the IT Development Team for the new DC module in the iDARTS reporting system (a 16-month collaboration that went live and was fully functional in June 2011). This enabled Regional staff to precisely track building permit data form information and then report the detailed results of the financial impacts of existing policy decisions and exemptions to Committee and Council. Set-up accurate Product Master List and related formulas of standard usages and costs of

manufactured goods used by the Controller to create a workable Activity-Based Costing System.

Created/maintained reports for production, sales rebates, franchisee commissions and GST returns.

Provided Payroll support and back-up. In this capacity, recovered an uncashed, payroll-related bank

draft overlooked in old files that allowed for a cash recovery of $4,982.

Acting Controller (7-mth contract) - WALKER MAGNETICS NATIONAL, BURLINGTON, ON 1991-92

Costed labour and materials on new and used Magnet production and repairs. Uncovered issue regarding incorrect interest being calculated on the daily account, and negotiated the

recovery of significant back interest from the bank worth $4,624 plus est. $150/month ongoing.
