Elisa Sangesa is a space design student who is in the final year of the degree. She is studying in "ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering" since 2009 with a double degree in Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Design (University of Southampton - U.S., United Kingdom), but before, she studied architecture during one year in "La Salle, Ramon Llull University".

She was born on September 14th, 1990, in Castellon de la Plana (Spain), where she lived until age 18. When she finished a-level she moved to Barcelona. There has lived in a student residence and in shared apartments, where she learned values like respect or partnership.

Elisa designs interiors for a broad range of disciplines including exhibitions, retail design, display windows or workspaces. She ensures that her jobs will be professional and reflect the way she sees the design and life in general.

What she most interest is contemporary art, retail design, exhibi-tion and set design, architecture and landscaping, and florist. Also she enjoys traveling, reading, the beach, the jasmine and sea smell and spending free time with her family.

Nowadays, Elisa is devoted exclusively to university, but she has worked as a freelancer for the restoring of a clients house and for the designing of Luco de Bordnwine label. Also in 2010, she won "The reinterpretation of the Christmas Tree" competition (CasaDecor and FEM) together with another partner.

In the future, she wants to do a master to extend her design skills and traveling abroad to learn English and new ways of working.

  • This project consisted, from the analy-sis of a set of curves with the same root topological (Etienne-Jules Marey diagrams), in interpreting the rhythms discovered giving them volume.

The final volume is a gangway whose location would be in ELISAVA Barcelo-na School of Design and Engineering. For its realization has been used only Rhinoceros modeling program.

This exercise was intended to become familiar with the concepts of topologi-cal and allometric variation and learn three-dimensional control and editing and spatial perception.

    08.CHRISTMASTREE

  • This project was carried out together with Eva Bertran Llambs for Casa Decor Barcelona 2011, it was the Christmas tree reinterpretation and its benefits were intended for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

The tree design is light, transparent, it transmits simplicity and simultaneously it transmits a harmony that is rarely achieved with the traditional tree. Its elements, starry icosahedrons, linking well with this time of year, Christmas, where every corner is a showcase of stars and baubles.

Moreover, we think that the material used also had to evoke feelings that are experienced during these holidays, for that reason we chose paper. Its the time when we spread more gifts and, therefore, which is used more paper. So what better than this material to make a Christmas tree, with the advan-tage that it can be reused or recycled.
