Segregation

• What is it?• Segregation is treating people a certain way because of their

skin color.• In 1968 segregation ended but by 1970 all forms were not

allowed.• What does it mean to be segregated?• To me it means to have everything seperated….• Restaurants• Fountains• Schools• Bathrooms• Movies

How were Dondre and Clifton Segregated?

• Dondre couldn’t play in the golf tournament because he was black and the club didn’t allow blacks there.

• Clifton couldn’t go to the amusement park because he was black and they didn’t allow blacks there either.
