“As we know it, we all have something that keeps us moving foward everyday”.
Foreword10
Being a graphic designer, typography seems to always get me motivated. In fact that is what inspires me to a new creative idea. I’m very inspired by the creativity and the detail that is used to create certain pieces.
Before starting a new projects, I find my self looking at typography online. I like to review how how certain pieces are used to create such strong art. It is very impressing how typography plays a role in not only its basic functions of communication, but also as visual design element that can easily make or break a work. The artist of a design has a particular message to communicate and through the use of typography is able to emphasize or deemphasize differ-ent parts of the text with his message. With just letters, or words, designers have the availability to make language visible and send strong messages. This tells you how powerful typography really is.In effective typography there are various use of fonts, contrast, color, point sizes, line length, leading, tracking and kerning that all play a big part.
