To students: The main purpose of this assignment is advance your self-learning skills (What are you strengths and weakness in writing? What are your strategies to improve?) Directions:
Step 1: Read and annotate –Problem Solution Evaluation
Step 2: Make an outline
Step 3 WRITE Draft 1. (Anything you want to improve and write AGAIN). Use double spaced format. (consider: Do you check your writing after you write? How?)
Step 4: Visit the WRITING CENTRE with your writing. (You can make an appointment before you go, but this is not necessary). Greet the students at the desk and sign in for an appointment.
Step 5: EDIT YOUR WRITING. When you meet with a tutor, you will show them your writing and talk about how to make it better. Make corrections ON YOUR PAPER.
Step 6: RE-WRITE your work. Use what you learned at the writing centre.
Step 7: REPORT ON YOUR VISIT. Answer the questions below, and give 1) the report and 2) the writing (both drafts) to your teacher.
