Traffics continues to increase, and busy junctions, narrow city streets, and heavy bus and lorry traffics can all create zones with poor air quality

But, BTS that have reserved forest as belongs to Sungai Besi Military Camp, can neutralize the air pollution, as well as it has no big impact to residences

Page 6: My Hometown Sustainability

Based on the results, BTS (under Cheras) have a good air quality compared with other regions at Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya

Ecological services provided by natural and diverse habitats help regulate temperature, absorb pollution, control pests and maintain soil fertility.

Sungai Kerayong delineates the northern boundary of the zone while the Kuala Lumpur - Seremban Highway forms the western boundary. The eastern and southern edges of the zone are formed by the boundary of the City

The terrain is generally hilly and incised by the flood plain of Sungai Kerayong. Bukit Sungai Besi, the highest hill in Kuala Lumpur, dominates the southern part of the zone.

The zone has an established residential base. Industry is well established throughout the zone and generally consolidated into eight industrial areas. Two large-scale institutions within the zone are the training college and school complexes in Bandar Tun Razak and the Sungai Besi Military Camp in south of the zone.

Most rubbish will be dumped into the dustbin

Recycle bin is rarely to be found around BTS, if found, its function is already abused

Except for housing area that have their own recycle bin, mostly there will be lorries that will moves around my hometown to buy recyclable materials like tin, glass, steel and old papers

The collected materials will be sent to the recycle factories

A city’s ecological footprint measures the environmental impact of its population’s lifestyle, consumption habits and energy use.

Housing and food and drink consumption have the biggest influence, but transport, pets and consumer items such as clothing are also important. No improvements in the energy efficiency of housing and transport.

Bandar Tasik Selatan station serves as both a stop and interchange for KTM Komuter, AmpangLine, and the Express Rail Link's KLIA Transit trains, and Rapid KL buses.

The station is accessible via Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) from the southeast, and, indirectly, the Sungai Besi Expressway from the west. The Bandar Tasik Selatan interchange is effectively an intermodal transportation hub.
