Introduction

Bangzie is one of the largest cities of Libya. As of 2011, the bengazi metropolitan area (district area) had a population of 1.2 million people. The city is located in the northeastren part of Libya on the edge of the desert, on a point of rocky land projecting into the Mediterranean and forming a bay.

Population growth The lastest population been announced in the year of

2011 in Bengazi is 1.2 million people but due to the war (revaluation) that is starts in march 2011 the rate of population decrease.

Here are some details of population growth of bengaziin 2009:

Air quality The air quality in Bengazi consider in good level

means no high air pollution detected comparing to the neighbor Arabic cities, and this low detection due to these reasons:

bengazi has not much population comparing to its size.

bengazi not consider as industrial city it has few industries only, most of the factories are allocated in the industrial city (Misrata).

No any petroleum processes is in this city.

Waste and recycling

Libya in general has not practice the waste and recycle technology yet we are still consider one of those countries who they consume only with out practicing the waste or the recycling for the consumed goods.

Transport

Benina airport is the largest airport in Bengazi and the second Libya. Bengazi is the interim destination of a railway from Sirte under construction in 2007 and my country consist as poor transportation country but Bengazi still considers as the best city in transportation comparing to other cities in Libya.

Education

The largest university in Bengazi, the University of Bengazi, is a public university providing free education to the city's inhabitants. Private universities and colleges have also begun to crop up in the last few years education level of Bengazi consider in good status as it has number of good lecturers and stuff in its colleges and universities.

Health and healthcare

The government of Libya is sponsoring the healthcare sections of Libya the treatment in those hospital is for free, in Bengazi there are 4 main hospitals and much more of clinics about 29 clinics around the city as its privet clinics the price still reasonable for Libyans to admit to those clinics.

Green spaces in Bengazi

There is a project calls the Green Belt as the main project of connectivity in Bengazi.

This project is under structure and it’s not finished yet. Its an ambitious orientations in favour of green spaces in the city in order to preserve and highlight the urban landscape, improve the inhabitants’ quality of life, and safeguard and develop the biotope. It lays on two major projects : the Bengazi City Centre Green Plan, and the Bengazi inner Green Belt.

Climate change

Bengazi has a hot subtropical semi-arid climate with long, hot and dry summers with relatively wet and mild winters with a Mediterranean (dry-summer) rainfall pattern. Its summers are hot with temperatures that often exceed 38 °C(100 °F); average July temperatures are between 22 °C (72 °F) and 33 °C (91 °F).

Economy

Bengazi is one of the main hubs of Libya's economy along with Misrata and Tripoli. It is the leading centre of banking, finance and communication in the country and is one of the leading commercialand manufacturing cities in Libya. Many of the country's largest corporations locate their headquarters and home offices in bengazi as well as the majority of international companies.

employment In bengazi to be employed is not hared and its not that

easy as it’s a big city so huge number of people are coming to this city and welling to have the same job that you are looking for so you have to be a qualified and an educated person to have a job.

The rates of the employment in 2004 was 70% employed and in 2010 its increase to 81%
