Students who take a gap year will travel,
work or take on volunteer work
abroad
So what will you do?
My Future Plans is an extended project in three parts over the spring & summer terms that will help you explore your future plans after BHASVIC.
It will cover higher education and university planning, apprenticeships and career paths, graduate jobs, gap years and volunteering. It will also introduce personal statements & CVs and help you prepare for university / employability / FE sessions into A2.
You will do lots of independent research and keep your results in a student workbook that will be useful to you throughout your time here, and after you leave.
Online resources - VLE
There are lots of online resources to help you research what might be the best course and career for you
Our VLE has lots of information – careers, University, Study Abroad, Oxbridge/Medics, Art Foundation
My Future Plans Workbook
You will need to download the workbook from the A1 tutorial page.
Save it into your drive.
This is your workbook to record notes and use the links provided.
It won’t be assessed or checked by your tutor and it will help you to look again from home when you continue your research for whatever path you decide to take.
It’s a word document and will be more wobbly the more you add to it – this is a good thing!!!!
