2001-present: AIM This was the first instant

messaging program I used to communicate with my friends and classmates. Back in the days, I would exchange screen names with my classmates, so that I can receive homework help. When I’m in need of help, they’re always there to provide feedback and explain things to me.

2004-2006: Xanga Xanga was a

blog where I could post about my day and my favorite quotes and lyrics. Besides practicing my writing skills, I also reflected on my actions. This was a great way to formulate my ideas into words.

2005-2006: MapleStory MapleStory is

a multiplayer online game, where players communicate by typing. The game helped me practice my reading skills. I also learned more about the MapleStory language.

2005-present: Yahoo! Almost every

day, I would read the news on the Yahoo! homepage. I developed a habit of reading on my own. It informed me about the current events and interesting facts.

2010: Weebly I blogged

weekly about my study abroad experience in Chinese. Each week I’m assigned with a topic to write about. Most of the topics require me to compare and contrast the different aspects of the western and eastern world.

local version of twitter. There was a contest to see which group is most active. It encourages the users to be on daily posting comments and pictures.

allow the users to customize their desktops but they require basic knowledge of computer codes. Since I’m unfamiliar with codes, I need to do some extra research.
