Performance Driven Design | Mosque Architecture | Architectural Theories of Perception

During my studies I have always been a firm believer of architecture or the built environment in

being the by-product of its own performance. This is not to say that environmental services,

systems and technologies are merely ‘bolt-on’ necessities, but rather they are strategic design

motives to be understood from project inception. My readings and research also cover mosque

architecture design and understanding where it had originated from. I am also heavily interested

in how people perceive internal and external space.

Bristol & West AC | UWE Athletics | Architecture Football Team

Being an outgoing and energetic individual, I keep myself fit and healthy by

competing in 400m/ 800m athletic events. During my time at UWE, I have also

participated in recreational football matches with my peers.

Africa | Middle East | Europe

Travelling has been an annual hobby for me in the past few years and whether it was

with my family, friends or academics, it has always been an education tool within the

world of architecture and design. I find it very much inspiring in understanding how

different places are formed and how they function. Recent trips and holidays include

Somaliland, Djibouti, Dubai/ Bahrain, Holland, Bremen, Norway and France.
