MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

This college was started in the year 1962 and become nit in the year 2003, before that it was

known as MACT. It is situated in BHOPAL, MADHYA PRADESH. It is located in area of 650

acres. In this college every branch has its own department. It has seven hostels available for

students, 1 for girls and 6 for boys. Faculty quarters are also there, there is one faculty guest

house. We also have bank facility in our college. Canteens are also available for students. There

is sports complex for recreation. In college very large area is available for NCC students. Library

is also in the campus. There is auditorium for college function. Dispensary is also available in

campus for medical cases. Parking area is also decided so that crowd of vehicles can becontrolled.

Students from different countries come here for study. Our college is only NIT in the state and

also holds rank in india in top colleges.

In my college here are many societies for enjoyment, for helping

others, to increase knowledge. There is RUBAROO which is cultural society, students having

great fun there. There is DRISHTANT which is for improving communication skill among

students. There is IBC which is technical society. There is ROTRACT and PRAYAS both are

social society and do for welfare of others. These all societies held there event generally in a

week or 2 week. There is also GO GREEN society for making our college green and beautiful.

Event of SPIC MAKEY also held in our college from where we came to know about our folk art

and about our tradition. Many times students are going in IIT for different types of events.in

college also many singing, dancing and sports and literary competions held. There is students

week for students in which we enjoy a lot.

Every year our college helds so many competions not only for

students of our college but some are also for other students who are not in this college. There are

so many fest in the year in which we can participate and can improve our skills. TECHNOFEST

and MAFFIK helds every year for us. Students from our college take participate in Inter NIT

competions. Every year seniors give freshers party to juniors for welcoming them in college and

informs them about the environment of college so that they can live happily and safely here.

Different faculties are available for every

branch students so that students can get good and complete knowledge about their subjects.

Every department has their own HOD to handle their department. Every department is provided

the facilities it want such that there is laboratory available in chemical department, workshops

available in mechanical, electrical and electronic department. Computer laboratory are available

in computer and architecture department. In architecture department there are special classrooms

available for them in which there is individual table for every student so that they can easily do

their work. There is regular site visit for civil and architecture students.

In our college there is semester system, our college is autonomous. In our college there is strongbonding between teachers and students. Seniors and juniors live like brother and sister and

everybody is friendly with everyone. Juniors respect their seniors and seniors give their love to

juniors. There is very good environment in college. There are so many small small gardens in

campus which make campus beautiful and hygienic. In college graduation and post-graduation

study both are available.

There is student council in our college in which members are from our

batch itself. They do work for welfare of students. Any type of problem among students can be

solve here.

I am studying architecture here which was made in the year 1964. I am

1st

year student, there is very good experience of mine in this college. In architecture department

there are so many events like NASA in which only architecture students work. I also join NCC

in this college from there I came to learn about discipline. In NCC we learn how to be on time,

we learn to obey our seniors, how to respect elders and how to live a perfect disciplined life.
