My Cape Town – Our Cape Town! After looking forward to it for nearly 12 months I was sitting in a Dreamliner from Amsterdam to Cape Town the Saturday bevor the start of the AGM. After a long day in the air and some sleep that night, the adventure started. The 4day Pre-Tour that would be showing the Garden Route to 29 Ladies from all over Europe. We saw a lot, be it landscape or animals, enjoyed sun as well as rain (more of the first than the last), had a great tour guide and a lot of fun in the evenings. Now the people in Knysna and in Oudtshoorn know, what it means if Ladies travel. Last but definitely not least for all of us the song „It’s raining men“ will have a lot of memories for the rest of our lives. Then after these great four days we arrived in Cape Town – and started to make it our Cape Town! After a tour around the City in the morning, the conference finally started with the welcome ceremony and parade. What a great venue to do it, the same building from where Nelson Mandela did his first speech in freedom. And with a children’s choir that moved every living soul in the auditorium.

ThenexttwodayswentwiththespeedoflightningundertheimpressionoftheAGM,thehomepartyandtheGala…Thespiritofeverybodywasmovinganditwasgreattoseethateverybody,nomatterwheresheisfromandwhatbackgroundshehasisjustpartofonefamilyandthereforeeverybodycanenjoythemselves.ThenafteranotherdayofseeingtheCape,thepenguinsandtastingsomewhineitwastimetogobacktogoodoldEurope.
