Dar’shun Kendrick is a lifelong Georgian and private securities attorney. She received 2 B.A.s
from Oglethorpe University (Atlanta, GA), law degree from the University of Georgia (Athens,
GA) and a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw, GA).
Her law firm, Kendrick Law Practice, is focused on taking companies from start to finish through
private placement offerings by taking care their legal compliance, due diligence, paperwork and
even investor negotiations through the capital raising process. The focus of KLP is to make sure
that companies can focus on raising capital and growing their business without having to worry
about the complex securities legal compliance system on the federal and state level that can result
in civil or criminal suits.
She is a member of the State Bar’s Executive Committee on Communications, the DeKalb
Lawyers Association and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys. She also is a
FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) non-public Arbitrator resolving disputes
between privately held corporations and individual and corporate investors. Additionally,
Dar’shun has served in the Georgia House of Representatives since 2011 representing over 54,000
Georgians from DeKalb and Gwinnett counties. In 2016, she founded her non-profit Minority
Access to Capital, Inc. whose mission is to EDUCATE and EMPOWER minorities about how to
access capital in order to grow their business and create generational wealth. In 2017, she was
elected to the Technology Association of Georgia’s (TAG) Corporate Development Board. In
addition, she is a contributor to Black Enterprise Magazine.
