The chapter study plans are helpful for me and my students, but only when I assign them; the students don’t take advantage of them otherwise. I find the grade tracker very useful to monitor students’ progress. I now also require the MyAnthroLab end-of-chapter activity readings and review questions. These effectively reinforce the concepts explored in the research and in my lectures. myLAb beneFIts The chapter study plans allow me and the stu- dents to make quick, yet comprehensive, assessments of their learning progress. The interactive charts and videos enable me to connect more with students. So far, my favorite MyAnthroLab feature is the end-of-chapter reading and writing activity. Access to the writings of subject matter experts on MyAnthroLab has helped me re-acquaint myself with material on physical anthropology and has sharpened my understanding of the latest research from a biological perspective. Academic writing is a challenge for my students. I soon discovered that requiring the MyAnthroLab reading/writing assignment prepares students to contribute relevant critical questions, which then generates more productive discussions during our limited classroom time. CONCLUSION With MyAnthroLab, students actively engage with subject matter in ways they can control. With the chap- ter study plans, they can take and re-take the chapter exams at their convenience, get immediate feedback, and return to those areas where they need improvement. MyAnthroLab helps me optimize my lectures so I can con- centrate on connecting the breadth of the syllabus’ subject matter in a more cohesive flow. “The interactive charts and videos are easy to use in the classroom, and they improve the flow of my lectures.” —Professor Charles Townsend

myLAb beneFIts The chapter study plans allow me and the stu-dents to make quick, yet comprehensive, assessments of their learning progress.

With the chap-ter study plans, they can take and re-take the chapter exams at their convenience, get immediate feedback, and return to those areas where they need improvement.

MyAnthroLab helps me optimize my lectures so I can con-

centrate on connecting the breadth of the syllabus’ subject matter in a more cohesive flow.
