August Already?

Is it August already? Well, now that it is August th, there is no way that I

can deny that August has arrived and that the new school year is right aroundthe corner. As if that wasnt enough to deal with, the weather today turnedcold and rainy.Before the rest of Summer slipped away, I wanted to sit down and share a littlebit about what weve doing these last few months. I cant promise stories aboutmagnificent trips or fantastic adventures, because to be honest we didnt haveany. Evenings at the Speedway

This summer I had the opportunity to to take photographs during racingcompetitions at the Mount Pleasant Speedway. It was extraordinary being inthe pits feeling the tension build as the racers prepared to go out onto thetrack.Im an avid amateur photographer, but it has been years since Ive pho-tographed an event that was as intense as those races

MPCC Vacation Bible School

Just a few weeks after school ended for the Summer, we were driving ourkidsand a couple of their friendsto the Mount Pleasant Community Churchfor its week long Vacation Bible School. I happened to drive the kids to churchfor one of the days that they attended, and I was amazed by the work that hadbeen done to gussy up the interior of the church. We returned that sameFriday for the churchs wrap-up featuring a bounce house and games for all ofthe kids.

Return Trips to Soldans

This summer, my son Josh became obsessed with a pet supply store inMount Pleasant called Soldans. I had never stopped there with the kids beforebecause we had never really had the need. So, it was only by chance that wehappened to stop there once with one of my friends, and its been a favoritedestination for Josh ever since then.See more photos in my Facebook Album here.
