Decentralized VideoMOBOTIX is the pioneer of decentralized IP video systems, creating the first IP cameras that do not require a central PC (DVR). This decentralized in-camera intelligence allows users to build cost-effective systems that can be easily scaled in megapixel resolution using standard IT storage and networking devices no DVRs or VMS required (see page64).

Free-of-Charge SoftwareEvery MOBOTIX camera comes with all the software necessary to create a high-quality surveillance system. Advanced functions are built into the camera, such as video management, image analysis, and VoIP calling. Professional viewing software is available for Windows, Mac and Linux at no cost (see pages40-44).

Intelligent ImagingImages are optimized, not by a PC, but in the camera. Thats right, image correction (dewarping) and resizing is applied inside the camera first, for improved bandwidth management and storage minimization. This makes high quality capture and streaming of Hemispheric video possible across local and mobile networks (see page65).

Innovative Motion AnalysisMOBOTIX pursuit of innovation keeps it at the forefront. This is exemplified through technological advances such as MxActivitySensor, a motion analysis system that registers travelling movement of objects, while dismissing redundant changes in the scene, reducing false alarms by up to 90% with almost no configuration (see page46).

Energy EfficiencyMOBOTIX systems offer unprecedented energy efficiency using considerably less power than other brands. MOBOTIX Lowlight Exposure Optimization (MxLEO) technology brings further savings in energy usage, as it enables our camera to capture high-quality video with only a minimal amount of artificial lighting.

Safe Recording With Fail-Over StorageThe microSD card fitted into every MOBOTIX camera is a backup storage device, that continues to capture video recordings should the external network recording device fail (MxFFS Archive Storage). When reconnection is made, the camera will resync the recordings with the central recording device. No dedicated DVR or VMS is required to manage this fail-over process.

Low MaintenanceEvery MOBOTIX camera is a solid investment, built to withstand extreme weather conditions and temperatures for a very long time. No additional housings or climate control systems are needed for outdoor installation. The fibre glass re-inforced outer housing that protects the camera and is immune to corrosion and direct sunlight.
