Classes are Monday and Wednesday:
1730-1800 Tigers (4, 5, and 6 years old)
1800-1900 Beginners (7 and up)
1900-2000 Advanced (Orange Belt & above, Adults)
Oceana’s classes are on Tuesday and Thursday.
The School is a member of the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF), the
Amateur Athletic Union of America (AAU), the World Tae Kwon Do Union (WTU), Tae
Kwon Do Navy Association (TNA), and the United States Military Tae Kwon Do
Federation (USMTF). The JEB School is run by MWR Navy Tae Kwon Do.
AAU Annual Membership is due no later than September 01 Each Year and is
valid through August 31. This fee must be paid prior to starting class. NO
EXCEPTIONS. See an Instructor for details, this is done online.
We accept Retired, Active, Dependents, and DOD personnel. We make no
difference whether male or female/adult or minor. Everybody receives the same training.
We teach sparring in accordance with the Olympic Sport Rules for competition.
Monthly class fees are $45.00 for one;
$40.00 for the second in same family;
$35.00 per each additional member in the same family.
Payment is due the first Class of the month to the gym cashier (Front Desk).
There is a nominal test fee for promotions based on the rank the student is testing
to achieve. Reference the chart on page 3.
Active Duty Military deployed for a minimum of two (2) weeks of a particular
month receive that month of training for free. Just the active personnel this does not apply
to dependents. In accordance with MWR if you attend one class you are obligated to the
full month fees.
You are required for your safety by MWR to provide sparring equipment which we
have in stock for you to purchase (see page 3 for list and prices). No gear means no
sparring. We also carry the V-neck uniforms for you to purchase. No other style or
schools’ uniform is allowed.
Don’t think just because you have a problem you can’t train. We take those things into
account, however you need to tell us about such things as they are not always apparent
(i.e. asthma).
We do participate in tournaments. There is no better place to apply what you learn
than in competition.

Parents Committee
The committee consists of a club president and an assistant.
The purpose is to assist the instructors with organizing activities, volunteer activities, and
testing. Help with training for parents to conduct tournaments. Maintain the club funds.
Communication with the other school house(s) for combined functions such as the
Summer Picnic and Christmas Potluck.

Parents and Students: Students are required to practice daily. This is their daily class homework. They need to do the
exercises, stretches, drills and other techniques taught in class. The higher they advance the more
dedication to practice it shall require.
Class time is limited therefore practice is necessary for advancement. The practice will help build
discipline, focus, concentration, control, and the self-confidence which are all necessary to be
successful in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do and Life.
Without the practice time the student will not be ready for the test.
They also need to bring a notebook to class to make notes on what is taught. It takes a long time
to develop the details of the movements which detailed notes immensely aids the training.
Wearing the Uniform: Tying the belt by themselves is a test requirement. Clean and well
maintained uniform: take pride in yourself and appearance. Clean pressed uniform (white T-shirt
is optional), belt tied correctly and patch set.
Sparring equipment is a requirement for sparring in class and tournaments.
Provide a copy of the receipt for class fees from MWR to the instructor.
After filling out the Class Registration form give it to the instructor.
Tigers at age 6 ½ participate in the Tiger class and the first half of the Beginner class to prepare
them for a full hour of uninterrupted training.
Amateur Athletic Union Registration (AAU) is a requirement to be in class, No Exception.

Patches go a ¼ inch below the shoulder seam on the right and left sleeve.
Patch 2 goes a ¼ inch below Patch 1.
Sleeve patches should be to the front of the crease on each sleeve if you ironed it like an enlisted
Navy dress jumper.
Patch 3 and 4 should be on each breast close to the collar so they are visible.
Uniform Care and Wear Wash the uniform with no chlorine bleach as this will turn the uniform gray.
The belt may also be washed.
The belt is worn ** tied in a square knot that should look like a mirror image of the instructor,
any instructor will willing to assist you in learning to tie your belt properly.
Remove the elastic strap on the right side. Scissor it off.
For our NATO participants you are allowed to wear your country’s flag on the left side of
your uniform vice the U.S.A. flag.

General Rules: Refer to instructors by title, sir or ma’am. Refer to seniors as sir or ma’am. Do not walk between ranks. Bow to the flag when entering and leaving the classroom. Do not interrupt. No gum, candy, food, jewelry, active beepers or active cell phones in dojong (classroom). Bare foot when in the classroom.
