PENETRATION

FLAT PENETRATOR(SYL)

ROCK ABRASION

-Similar to Rock Chisel but much more wear material on underside of tooth.-Best for use on any high abrasion application.

STANDARD LONG

-Multi-purpose general duty tooth.-Good choice for most basic applications. -Available in most styles of teeth.-Available for most sizes of equipment.

FLARE-Desinged for mud or soft ground.-Works as a paddle to lift earth. -Best for clean-out/utility work.

HEAVY DUTY LONG-Very similar to Standard Long but with much more wear material throughout.-Longest wear life of all the tooth profiles.

ROCK ABRASION

- Good Penetration, Wear material on underside of tooth- Best for use on any high abrasion application

HEAVY DUTY ROCK ABRASION

- Better Penetration than rock abrasion, Lots of wear material on bottom of tooth- Stays sharp- Works well in compacted & high abrasion material

STANDARD LONG

RIPPER TOOTH PROFILES BULLDOZERS

HD RIPPER-Premium wear steel and ribbed faces. Allow for better material flow, tooth strength and wear material in harsh conditions.

RIPPER PENETRATION

-Designed for better ripping in hard pack. -Large rib in center allows material to flow better and gives the tooth more stability.

NON-CENTERLINE-Similar to centerline, but with more of the steel put back to allow for more stability and wear steel in usable areas.

ABRASION-Non-centerline design that has more material put into the profile.-Allows for extra wear in standard ripping conditions.

CENTERLINE-Designed for general purpose ripping conditions.-Tooth is reversible as both front and back are the same profile and have equal material on each side.

CENTERLINE SHORT

-Same as a regular centerline, but shorter to give more strength in the wear material.-Tooth is less likely to have breakages in tougher condtions.

The Profile of a tooth indicates the level of penetration it’s capapble of & therefore determines the applications that the tooth is best suited for. The following numbers will indicate the Profile of the tooth (Profile Number Cross Reference):

HOW TO IDENTIFY MOST CATERPILLAR STYLE TEETH:

The 4th & 5th digits are most important and indicate the Family that the tooth belongs to. The 6th digit may indicate the Profile of the tooth. The 7th & 8th digits may, in some cases, describe the Manufacturer or the Profile.

A Caterpillar style tooth can often be identified by its part number. Certain digits of the part number have specific meanings:

1 - Short 8 - Sharp2 - Long, HD Long, Standard 9 - Penetration3 - Abrasion, HD Abrasion 0 - Flare / Wide

Eg: Part number 1U3352RC = J350 Family, Standard Long tooth with a Rock Chisel profile


BUCKET ADAPTER PROFILESLoaders & ExcavatorsAvailable for Caterpillar, Esco, Komatsu, Hensley, H&L, Combi, MTG, and more!


FLUSHMOUNT -Used exclusively on Loaders.-Sits on top of bucket lip to allow for loader to scrape clean.

1-1/2 LONG LEG TOP

-Generally meant for Loaders (used on some Excavators).-The Loader application is good for buckets using a wear edge or lip protector between adapters.-An angled left & right hand adapter is available in some Cat Loader sizes only.-Not to be used on Cat or Komatsu Excavators

1-1/2 LONG LEG BOTTOM

-Used exclusively on Excavators -Wraps around the bucket lip with the longest leg on the bottom to provide support.-Notched left & right hand adapter is available in some Cat sizes only.

1-1/4 LONG LEG BOTTOM

-Used exclusively on Excavators & Backhoes.-Wraps around the bucket lip with the longest leg on bottom to provide support.-Available for small Caterpillar, H&L, & most Esco styles.

WELD-ON NOSE

-Cost effective option for replacing worn out noses or for use on log grapples.-Available in all Caterpillar styles, most Esco styles & select Hensley sizes.

2 LEG BOLT-ON

-Generally used only on Loaders.-Double leg, bolt on adapter is ideal for changing to clean up bucket easily & quickly.-May have 2 or 3 bolt holes.-Available in select Caterpillar & Hensley style sizes only.-Right & Left hand adapters are available for Caterpillar only.

FLUSHMOUNT BOLT-ON

-Exclusively for small Loaders.-Allows for easy change to clean up bucket by removing the adapters.-Available in select Hensley style sizes only.

WELD ON NOSE - Replaceable nose for ripper shanks.- Tooth pins directly onto nose that is welded to existing shanks.

NOSE SEGMENT- Quarter shank that is welded into the full shank- This is the primary wear section of a shank assembly that replaces worn out or broken shanks.

SHANK ASSEMBLY- Full Shank assembly that bolts onto dozers and graders.- Can be designed to fit almost any tooth system and shank guards.

SHANK GUARD HD SHARP

- Similar to a regular shank guard that has more material built up to provide extra protection and wear material. - Sharp design allows the material to flow better across the face of the shank.
