Point Distribution
Section 1. Scholarship = 500 points
Section 2. Leadership = 400 points
Section 3. Financial Need = 100 points
Total 1,000 points

Rating System
• 5- Outstanding
• 4- Excellent
• 3- Strong
• 2- Average
• 1- Below Average
• 0- Weak
For many of the sections, you will rate the applicant on a scale of 0 to 5. Use these guidelines.

Section 1. Scholarship
• Part 1, Test Scores. Test scores are worth
250 points, based on a table.
• Part 2, Academic Achievement. Review the
student’s transcript and academic qualities,
and assign a rating on a scale of 0 to 5.
Multiply your rating by 50, for a maximum
total of 250 points.
• Scholarship Section = 500 Total Points

Section 2. Leadership
• Leadership Section = 400 Points
• Part A, Work Experience. 50 Points.
– Rate the applicant’s work experience on a scale of 0 to 5. Multiply your rating by 10, for a maximum total of 50 points.

• Part B, Community Service. 100 Points.– Rate the applicant’s community
service on a scale of 0 to 5. Multiply your rating by 20, for a maximum total of 100 points.

• Part C, Honors and Awards. 50 Points.– Rate the applicant’s awards and
achievements on a scale of 0 to 5. Multiply your rating by 10 for a maximum total of 50 points.

• Part D, Leadership. 75 Points.– Rate the applicant’s leadership
ability on a scale of 0 to 5. Multiply your rating by 15 for a maximum total of 75 points.

• Part E, Extracurricular Activities.
50 Points.– Rate the applicant’s extracurricular
activities on a scale of 0 to 5. Multiply your rating by 10 for a maximum total of 50 points.

75 Points.– Rate the applicant’s essay on a
scale of 0 to 5. Multiply your rating by 15 for a maximum total of 75 points.
