MVRDV was set up in Rotterdam in 1993 by Winy Maas (Schijndel, 1959), Jacob van Rijs (Amsterdam, 1964) and Nathalie de Vries (Appingedam, 1965). In close collaboration, the 3 principal architect directors produce designs and studies in the fields of architecture, urbanism and landscape design. The more than sixty architects and designers of MVRDV are organized into teams in which the different fields and scales of the projects are reflected. At Inner City we show Glass House, a scale 1:1 mock up model for the façade of the recently completed Glass House building in the PC Hoofdstraat in Amsterdam. The lower part of this house is constructed for 100% of solid glass. www.MVRDV.com
