Dear Parent After the much-awaited summer season of holidays and getaways, we welcomed the children back to a session filled with exciting and collaborative activities. The children engaged in all school activities with commendable resilience, confidence and determination. The fresh spell of showers beckoned us to revitalize and revamp. Rain not only brought hope and confidence but also elevated our spirit of optimism. The hot and humid months of July, August and September were marked with the first formative assessment besides the joyous celebrations of various festivals. The children reflected patriotic jubilation on the Independence Day, displayed their sibling love on Rakshabandhan and rejoiced the birth of Lord Krishna on Janmashtami. A Book Week was organized to inculcate in them good reading habits. The students enjoyed the story telling session by Ms Sonia Bareja. It was a week full of fun and learning! They also visited an old age home to show their love and respect for the elderly people. The Ramayana week was not only entertaining but also enlightening. The episodes interspersed with melodrama, songs and dance taught them the moral values which can make us happier and fulfilled in all the ways. MVNites will once again shine in their First Term Examinations with regular enforcement and utmost care. The examination is over and you all are really anxious for your child to do well. But, tell them, no matter what they score, you love them and will not judge them on the basis of grades. Hence, continuing with the present session, we shall waste no time in embarking on our journey for excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. We look forward to a year in which all our students will experience success and march ahead with perseverance and persistence.

In Maths we learn operation,

One of them is multiplication,

The others are addition, subtraction and division,

It’s not easy, we have to do a lot of revision.

Maths not only teaches us how to add love and subtract hate but it also teaches us that every problem has a

solution. The Students of Grade V Camellia presented a wonderful assembly on ‘Importance of Maths’, depicting

it through the medium of play. Few interesting Maths riddles were also asked. The assembly successfully brought

about a change in the perspective of students towards Maths.

"A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others"

Teachers mold and nourish an individual's talent and capabilities. They not only teach but also go beyond books to touch the lives of students. As Carl Jung rightly put, "The curriculum is the necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child". The students of Grade II Bluebells presented a special assembly on Teacher's Day as a mark of honour to all the teachers. The Assembly began with the heartwarming Guru Vandana followed by the thought of the day and some valuable information on Teacher's Day. Thereafter a thought-provoking skit was presented illustrating the significance of teachers or 'gurus' who bring enlightenment to our soul. This was followed by a wonderful dance performance.

GRAND PARENTS DAY CELEBRATION

Few can find the warmth

We can find in their embrace

And little more is needed to bring love

Than the smile on their face.

They’ve a supply of precious stories,

Yet they’ve time to wipe a tear,

Or give us reason to make us laugh

They grow more precious through the years.

There is a special bond that Grandparents share with their grandchildren and it grows stronger with time. To celebrate ‘Senior Citizens Day’, the students of Grade V wrote letters to their Grandparents sharing their feelings and love for them.
