Commissioning Commissioning is defined as the

process of ensuring that the systems are designed, installed, functionally tested and capable of being operated and maintained to perform in conformity with the design intent.

Performance Testing Tests that are performed in-situ

or at the manufacturer’s to ensure that a specific piece of equipment operates to manufactures specifications - installation design intent requirements.

Acceptance Tests Acceptance tests are tests that

are performed on specific equipment that does not necessarily require a commissioning plan. (Wide Variation) Does the light switch operate
