HAVE TO / DON’T HAVE TO / MUST / MUSTN’T
We use "must”: For a necessity, an obligation or a certainity
We use “mustn’t”: For a prohibition
We use "don't have to" or "doesn't have to": No obligation or no necessity.
EXAMPLES:
Necessity, obligation or certainity: I must be careful, when I cross the road. You must hurry up, if you want to be in time.
Prohibition: He mustn't make noise in the middle of the night. She mustn't smoke in the hospital.
No obligation or necessity: We don't have to buy expensive clothes. They don't have to go to the cinema.
