IIIT-MAHYA Summer School “Muslim Societies: Contemporary and Future Challenges” is inviting applications from Turkey, Middle East, Central Asia and Europe for its 2020 online programme. Lectures on Islamic studies and social sciences across disciplines will provide an enriched academic and intellectual platform for young scholars and academics around the world who have a research interest in religious studies or social issues in relation to Muslim societies. The programme is designed to provide a virtually interactive environment for participants to engage with renowned scholars, young academics and fellow students. Eligibility: Apply if you are doing master’s or PhD in one of the above-mentioned areas and are interested in issues related to the Muslim world with an academic purpose. High proficiency in academic English is required. Summer School fellows are expected to be active during the programme by doing prerequisite readings, engage in interactive discussions and producing reflection papers on selected courses of their interest.
