POP The term Pop originally came from the word 'popular' showing

that it is one of the most well known genres around. I enjoy the genre myself also, because I feel that it is quite broad  in terms of the music within it, whether this is the pace of the song or the melody of it there is always a song for your mood. Pop music draws thousands of listeners worldwide with the main UK charts mainly devoted to this genre. My love for the genre has partially stemmed from my Girlfriend. She began listening to this kind of music (Katy Perry/Lady Gaga) I guess I just got used to listening to this type of Music and found it amusing.

The type of Audiences that’s listen to POP music are young who don't want to make an effort to look for good music. Some of them actually like the music, but most of them are just following the crowd.

It seems that most people enjoy Music that only consists of repetitive, and the same notes, over and over again. Mostly Teenagers tend to listen to POP Music, Since they build their taste accordingto the fashion, They prefer Music that’s not too loud or Hard to listen, They like Music that they can get addicted to and as we all know POP Music is an ideal example for thatThey also enjoy "Rhyming Words", since it apparently has a nice "Beat" to it whether it makes any sense or not. is probably because of Peer Pressure, The Neighborhood that they are in, or probably hear a name of a song at school or something.

Now There are types of POP MusicThe most common one is Country POP, Girls tend to listen to Country Pop Songs because it is easy listening, fun to dance to and you can usually find a good pop song you like to listen to get you in a good mood. Most people are too lazy to find Underground bands so they simply turn on the radio or turn on MTV and there is music for them. What their friends recommend them at school. After listening for a long time it embeds into their mind and passes as "good music" and if introduced to a new genre most of the time they will ignore it simply for being different and stick to theirs. The Ideal example of Country Pop is a song performed by American recording artist Taylor Swift. It was released on April 21, 2009. The song contains many pop music elements and its lyrics have Swift desiring an out-of-reach love interest.

Rap and Rock music are two very important types of music in the world. They both send out different messages and help kids. The lyrics sung or rapped by the artists can be things going on in their own personal lives, and people with the same types of problems can listen to them so they know their hope and their people like this out there in the world. But as I said choices and tastes vary in every different direction of the world, Some people might even be annoyed by a song you love the most, And some might find it just okay but according to a lot of research girls sometimes tend to find ROCK music too loud and annoying.

METALHeavy metal music, born fighting, rose out of popular

music in opposition to both the dominant culture and the rock counterculture. Its heritage was equal parts the heavy guitar rock that replaced the blues, progressive rock and the neoclassical sounds of horror movie music. Its name, composed of "heavy" meaning epic and having emotional weight outside the individual, and metal, meaning the gritty mechanical truth of reality, signified its sound and message: a wake up call to hippies and bourgeois listeners alike that reality is not the simplified, individualistic, pleasure-seeking consumerist illusion.

Low-fi neo-progressive rock from the late 1960s started this genre, in the form of Black Sabbath, who used power chord riffing and dark modalities to express the paranoid nihilism which was a sublimated counterpoint to the dominant impulse toward simplistic absolutism ("peace" and "love") of the time. Originally a blues/rock band, Black Sabbath became a proto-metal band with morbid and yet poetic songs, evoking for many a return to European Romanticism of several centuries before. Cataclysmic and industrial in its use of gritty organic textures, heavy metal went through several stages including excesses of commercial stadium rock before returning to its roots in alienated and rough but majestic music.

HIP HOPHip hop music, also called hip-hop, rap music, or hip-hop music, is

a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. It developed as part of hip hop culture, a subculture defined by four key stylistic elements. While often used to refer to rapping, "hip hop" more properly denotes the practice of the entire subculture. The term hip hop music is sometimes used synonymously with the term rap music, though rapping is not a required component of hip hop music; the genre may also incorporate other elements of hip hop culture, including DJing and scratching, beat boxing, and instrumental tracks.

Most musicians try to get their music heard by everybody. Record labels however want to make the target audience teenaged, usually white, rich kids because they are usually the ones that spend the most money buying music, majority of which is heard through the radio.Lets face it, its mostly the wealthy 14,15 year olds who ask their mothers for money to buy music. No, true fans of music buy music too, but the majority of the music bought is from these wealthy kids.Rap is a fairly big genre, there's different types of rap music that will appeal to different people, but the majority of it appeals to males, as it's also a particularly male dominated genre.
